roku ultra briked by tv firmware?

denon x3300
vizio p quantum
roku ultra


my vizio had a firmware update yesterday.


for some reason my roku ultra is not recognized by the denon after the update. no signal detected or something
the 4k bluray player connected to the denon is fine


has this happened to anyone and how did you fix it?

I'd test it connected directly to the display, connected to a different input on the Denon, and if that isn't fruitful, connected to another display. I wouldn't discount the Vizio firmware update causing some issue but it seems like a stretch that it would be able to completely brick a client device in the process.

Sounds like a hand shaking issue, I'd do what Stephen said to try but also try rebooting everything in order before you unhook everything. TV, Receiver, then Roku. Sometimes that will fix hand shaking issues. There is a chance that the Roku didn't update something properly too and did it right around the time of Vizo update. Roku's have been known for update weirdness sometimes. (I'm a Roku owner can you tell ?).
