Zappiti Pro 4K HDR (Direct Mode, Low Noise Power Supply)

The French company is about ot release its first high end player, the Zappiti Pro 4K HDR model.

Compared to other releases, this ones sports a low noise power supply, dual HDD trays (up to 32TB in storage), 6.35mm headphone jack and a direct output mode that should enhance both video and audio by by-passing unwanted processing.
It is expected during June.

And I thought that network attached storage was the future
It seems that many people still prefer HDD embedded storage.

folks default to ease of use and simplicity - if just watching movies on your main home theater (majority I would imagine) no need for dedicated NAS-
USB 3 is plenty fast for 4K ISO- plus all the attached storage is so transportable etc -
On my Dune 4K have about 25TB attached and plus its also all shareable on my network if needed

I am quite intrested in those zappiti media players. I currently using Vero 4K, Apple TV 4K and zidoo Z9S. I have never tested zappiti. I dislike zidoo user interface, HT is sometimes problematic.
The main issue for me is that Zappiti doesn’t offer automatic resolution switching and I hope it will change in near future.

I see all that but I can’t stand the noise of connected hard drives. My PC server is essentially silent and not once have I been able to reproduce that adding drives to players.

7.2 Yamaha RX-A3080, Monitor Audio (Apex & Silver), Seismic 110, XBOX, Vero 4K, Sony X700, LG OLED (E7V)
5.1 Denon X7200WA, Focal Dome, LG OLED (E6V)
In both Setups "Virgin Tivo V6, Zappiti 4K HDR, FireTV Stick 4K, Harmony Elite"

Link updated with new photos of the new features and official product link.
The selection of supported resolutions in the direct out setting is impressive.

They are still using the older Realtek RTD1295 in contrast to the newer 1296 :/
Still, its a very attractive device imho. However, it makes me think that a new Realtek generation (or any other brand for that matter) is not coming any time soon...
Any information about pricing? I assume its very near the 1000€ mark.

//edit:
A German reseller is listing it for 799€

I can confirm the 799€ price tag.
We should not expect media players based on newer Realtek SoC before Q2/2020...

This box looks real interesting. I was coming back to local server media and planning on an Oppo 203 for full disc ISO playback but this looks solid for that as well as having a real movie wall UI. I’ll be watching this.

Zappiti is really great at marketing. First they praise their MagicPixel 2.5 for "outstanding picture quality " and right after that they talk about the direct output which "greatly improved" the picture quality....

And I just got an email where they just talk rubbish:

"This high-end player redefines the rules of media players by introducing a series of exclusive innovations such as Direct Output (this is a world first in term of media player technology)".
World first?! Dune (Solo 4K) and Cloud Media (VTEN, A-500 series) had this features YEARS ago!
