Handbrake 4K encode results in pink display on Apple TV

Anyone else encoding 4K with Handbrake using the Apple 4K Preset and seeing pink screen issues on Apple TV? I've attached an image so you can see what I'm seeing. The only change I made to the preset was to change the frame rate to "Same as original" because I didn't need it to re-encode at 60fps. It takes my 8-core MacBook 10 hours to encode so I'm hoping not to have to trial-and-error this, and that someone else may know what's causing that.

The media plays fine on the computer. The AppleTV is the only thing that isn't playing back properly.

I've tried the Apple TV set for 4K Dolby Vision 60Hz, Dolby Vision 30Hz, 4K HDR and 4K SDR but it makes no difference.

I'm not aware of any HDR settings in Handbrake, but if there are that might be what's causing this.

I found the H265 dropdown has multiple options now. I tried the VideoToolbox option that takes advantage of the native hardware I have but the result, while pretty fast, was poor picture quality with lots of banding on the Mac screen so I didn't even try it on Apple TV.

I'm encoding now using the 12-bit H265 dropdown option but it is going to take something like 40 hours to complete. Yikes!

I'll post if it works or not, if anyone else is interested.

I appear to be talking to myself but maybe this will help someone else.

So the H265 12-bit setting was a colossal failure. It created a 376.52GB file (the original folder is only 67GB!) that can't be played on my MacBook in Quicktime at all, and which stutters in the TV app on Mac so I didn't even try it on Apple TV.

I guess 10-bit is next...
