New Zappiti NAS

Zappiti is putting out a cool new network attached storage device with integrated ripping. This includes UHD disks. 8-bays and automatic library creation. A bit pricey and a few stupid implementation issues, but all in all pretty interesting.

Here is a quick review...

That’s not new. The NAS itself is quite a few years old by now (I had a review unit in 2016). Down the road they added the 4K UHD BD drive.

I would love something similar for $1-1.5K or the ability to hook an external drive to one of their existing units. I'd love a real dummy proof, super simple, ripping method for 4K and Blu-Ray.

I can totally understand. Having said that, with just a little bit of hardware and software knowledge you can achieve it by yourself. It’s just running windows and andydvd to autorip a disc when inserted.
