The Powerline extender setup looks to make the most sense, but given how bad WiFi reception is in your part of the house, you may want to consider a Powerline extender that also has a Wifi extender/AP on the sink end to improve WiFi signal for your other devices (PS4, laptop, etc)... something like one of these:
