Picture horiz red blur growing

I have a 2016 OLED65B6P and it has started showing red/orange area like 8inches wide going HZ across screen. Tried a calibration but didn’t seem to do anything.
All suggestions welcomed, please.

Sounds like the panel is going bad.

What's the hour count? We're actually upon year 3 now, and there's not a rash of reports like yours.

77 and 65 g6p and 55c6p .. 77 has 6100 hrs on it. Nothing like that going on. As good as any premium display I have owned. And certainly the best pic quality of any owned.

You've probably done this but try a factory reset.

Humor me, brah. Show me some 5% IRE photos of your 77G6. I'm dying to see this unicorn. No way does mine match the Kuro and Panasonic plasma that proceeded it (nor even the 65G6P).

I honestly cannot do that right now. Living in a tent camping basically with a bottom floor renovation. 77 is tucked away. Slumming it with a xbr43x800d. Remind me in a few weeks. I dont.know what the hell a unicorn is but I love my 77g6p. I think that is all that matters. I am sure it is not perfect and certainly not in your eyes, but it works for me. It's been stored away since the around the 15th.

I just want to get an idea of what you're seeing for my own eyes to behold and compare to what I've seen. I watched her tonight, and she performed pretty well in comparison to a lot of the eyesores I saw last night (columns). It's very Jekyll and Hyde-like. Enjoy the slumming!

sorry if its been asked before but will i be able to play PS1 games on my PS2 over component/?

So far PS2 games work with progressive scan, and without, Wii w/ component works for everything I throw at it that I think is 480p standard in system settings.

N64 also works over composite

I dont see why it wouldnt but I think PS1 may send over like 240p (?) or sommething funky compared to the other ones I've tested.

Even the 65G6P is a hard act to follow in the uniformity department when you move up in size, especially from 2016. BTW, the powers that be recommend not maneuvering into personal fibbing, and your post is getting uncomfortably close in tone. If you don't see anything wrong, DO NOT start looking at slides and such hunting for errors. You may see something you can't unsee.

At 6k hours of carefree viewing, I doubt the owner will be distraught by anything that shows on the slides. I just wish my 77" looked as solid as the 65" it replaced.

Not sure what I was to look for but the test displayed several colors for a few seconds each. Each displayed evenly across screen with no burn in or other noticeable faults. My screen is an OLED65B6P. Test was cast from laptop PC > Nvidia Shield TV > AVR > TV. My viewing is typical usage for movies (Netflix & KODI ), network TV via YouTube TV (mostly sports & local news) and the occasional DVD (Atmos); all thru Nvidia Shield > AVR > TV. I have no plans to ever upgrade my system. I am pefectly happy with my screen and 13 speaker AVR. See attachments for settings. Color management all zeros (0).
Sorry about the rotated pics...I don't know how to fix.

EDIT: Forgot to add any tips I might have.
TIP: Do more fishing and less TV

My 55E6P started to update to the new 05.30.60 firmware a week ago, but I cancelled the update because it was downloading very slowly, and I was pressed by other things at the time.

Now, when I try to manually upgrade, it claims that No Update Available. Do I need to reset something? Or just set auto update, and wait? Or do an update via USB?

First, thank you wxman. Doing a cold boot was no help. USB was easy.

bongta029, the Samsung US web site says "security" was updated. The update also does an update to the remote, which disables the remote for a minute or two. Since I knew that was part of the process, after restarting the TV post update, I left the TV on and placed the remote close to the TV.

Weird because I never got the update on the remote. Did yours come with the longer silver and black colored remote, or just a shorter black colored remote?

55E6V firmware 05.30.60 issue?

I've added a post to the thread 'LG OLED 55/65E6 info, issues, and settings ' earlier today as I'm unable to watch DV discs after 'upgrading' to firmware 05.30.60
Would love to know if anyone else has applied this firmware and is having any issues?

Verify in the OPPO that the DV setting is set to TV-LED not PLAYER-LED or automatic, some LG 6 series OLEDs mistakenly get sent the player-led setting from the OPPO with the most recent OPPO firmware and that causes all sorts of weird issues on the display.

Ok

I have some time today, have the vids loaded in the LG media player for simplicity.

Can this be done in the daytime. I am not in a light controlled room but I am curious and bored since my contractor rarely shows up these days.

All i have connected to tv right now is a shield and directv.

I've made the ISF dark settings i believe but walk me through it, I want to see the flaws in my panel now I am sure you are dying to see them as well.

First impressions on 1, 5, 10 look very uniform to me but I could be doing something wrong.

I have an S9+ for a camera, and 77G6P, 65G6P is upstairs with less than 27 hrs on it i think right now, and C6P is in the master bedroom.

So to recap:

Test Display: 77G6P
Source Files Loaded in LG SmartShare
Camera: S9+
