To the gentleman on the fence about the C6. Since I'm currently in possession of a js9500 after failed attempts at a passable ef9500, i can say the curve is not noticeable when watching content. I have never noticed distortion of image or any other issue, it doesn't stand out as any different than the flat sets. I have never tried sitting outside of the sweetspot, though. So if saving money is your concern due to not requiring the soundbar, I say go for the C6.

Do you have glare/refection problems at all with your js9500?

None, the only time it is a problem is when I'm playing PS4. You can't turn off the controllers led light, still, it diffuses it pretty well. Can't say if the LG handles the same, better, or worse. Still haven't decided between the C6 or E6 either, but, that's a patience issue. It has zero to do with curve or flat.

The $4867 price for the B6 and C6 was from a West Hartford, CT appliance store. Putting two and two together, it looks like the actual MSRP of the C6 will be $4,999 and the B6 around $4,499. I suppose LG might go with an MSRP of $5,999 and then ask everyone to have an actual sale price of $4,999. If nothing else, at least these internet sightings indicate availability of the B6 and C6 relatively soon.
I hope you are right. That means a negotiated B6 price of $4200 would be close at hand.

When will the official owners thread be created for this TV (G6, E6, C6 & B6)?

Is it basically when someone receives their first one, and then they create the thread?

Yes, an owners thread should be created by the time someone actually got the TV.

Here are two videos of the G6 and the E6 from today's LG roadshow event in Munich, filmed by a german Samsung OLED owner.
Watch in 4K.

As you can see, this E6 also has FOUR HDMI ports.
According to the LG rep he talked to, expected german release date for both is around April/May.
The B6 and C6 were nowhere to be seen.

Very nice that he shot these in 4K!!

I still have trouble visualizing how the G6 folds up for wall-mounting.

Check the Value Electronics webpage of the G6. It has a gif at the bottom showing it fold.

Just spoke with Chris. They are delayed and he will not be getting them in next week and possibly for quite some time. looks like the E6 will be in stock sooner...ie end of March/Early April.

Robert was supposed to email me yesterday and never did. I can only assume that LG has delayed initial shipment of the G6's.

I have not heard from Robert at VE in a week after repeated calls, messages and e-mails. All I can assume is as you did. There is a delay. Still, one would expect an updated response within a reasonable amount of time. It is after all, common courtesy and good business.

Information from the roadshow in Germany:

It seems the E6 will also have 4 HDMI ports.

Furthermore, the B6 is supposed to be slightly brighter compared to the other models due to the lack of a 3D filter.

Same panels and image processing for all models.

65" C6D 6500 Euro
55" C6D 4500 Euro

Something is off there, because that would put the C6 at (relatively) the same MSRP as the E6 ($7000.) The G6 and E6 are pretty inflated there as well.

It does, though, give us some relative indication of increments.

So, perhaps we're looking at:

G6 - $7,999.99
E6 - $6,999.99
C6 - $5,999.99
B6 - $5,499.99

Yeah, keep in mind that a German price has 19% VAT included + products like TVs are more expensive than in the US on average.

And from these prices you can also pretty much figure out that you will have to pay 500$ for the 3D option

I guess now there is really no point to getting the G6, considering contra lg.com the E6 seems to also have 4 HDMI.

I hope those prices are off as it'll put the C6 out my price range.

That would be the rough equivalent of £5000 for the 65" C6, whereas I have £4k sitting ready to leave my account.

While the fold of the soundbar on the G6 is certainly classy, I can't help but feel like the addition makes both the G6 and E6 kind of clunky. To me, it just seems like "value added" that no one really asked for...at a price. I could be wrong, but I'd guess that the type of individual in the market for a TV at this price level already has money invested in, at the very least, a modest 5.1 set-up that is going to sound superior to anything these sets can produce. Not a deal breaker, by any means (though the price likely is, in my case at least), but I'd certainly prefer them without it.

The 02.10.2016 does contain info on the folding base/sound bar towards the rear, I almost missed this info. Go the URL I posted and look just below where it says "Owner's Manual". You will se two options to choose from so that you can view the "User's Guide".

Hope this helps,

From: http://kr.eguide.lgappstv.com/manual.../settings.html

HDR Effect
This feature lets you enjoy a more dynamic, clearer image by correcting the light and dark areas of the display.
This feature provides a realistic image, even when the source image's gradation level is high.
You can only set this option in general input mode. When your TV is in HDR input mode, the setting is automatically switched to HDR Standard / Movie Dark.
If you set Picture Mode to HDR Effect, you will not be able to use some of Picture Mode Settings.

EDIT: This manual includes LED tech - bummer

It has both a Backlight AND an OLED Light

WTH?????

Backlight
Controls the level of screen brightness by adjusting the backlight. The closer to 100, the brighter the screen.
Decrease the Backlight to reduce energy consumption.
OLED LIGHT
Adjusts the display brightness by varying the brightness of the OLED panel.
