Just did that with my b6. Already paid ok money at microcenter, but thanks to those jokers I had another $500 check from cc company in the mail.

First time I did this and it worked 👍

So it does work? I can buy the OLED from let's say Cleveland Plasma. Then contact my credit card company a week later and have them price-match the lower price from East Coast or iElectrica? Does the price have to be on their website or is eBay fine?

You may want to check out top rated eBay retailers, it's up to you if the additional $500 is worth the convenience of a no hassle return policy from say a Best Buy.

As for the CES, you'll likely pay the closest to MSRP when the 2017 models first come out. Under the assumption that prices in January will be at least as low as they are now the CES could be the determining factor/tipping point if it's worth waiting till this time next year for a next generation OLED or getting the current generation OLED roughly 2 1/2 months from now.

You have it hooked up backwards. Cable,Bluray to receiver - receiver to darbee - darbee to B6

So before I pull the trigger on either the 65" C or B series has anyone had any issues with the yellow stripe down the middle of the screen that was so prominent on the 2015 65" Oled's ?

N6 and darbee

JB: I know I hooked it up right, because it worked perfectly on my prior TV. The setup you described is what I have. I just said it backwards. The connection you mentioned and the one I have are the same.

I have it set up on my B6 & it works. If your receiver is converting to 4K it will not work.

Just finished a full grayscale calibration using an iD3 and Calman. Aimed for a flat gamma of 2.2

Very simple. Grayscale tracks great and required minimal adjustment to get it flat. Took me 20 mins. I also boosted the 5% luminance setting to help with shadow detail and it made a nice improvement.

Didn't touch the CMS controls at all. DeltaE was 0.9 for Calman color checker out of the box with all colors under 1.2 DeltaE except 100% Blue (which was 2.4). Didn't seem worth the time or possible side effects to get a few decimals less of DeltaE.

Oh and my near black slides got even better. Not to brag but 1% is perfectly uniform. If I could get a proper picture I would post it to rub in the LCD forums faces

I just went from a HU 8550 to OLED. Night and day difference. I understand the HU and JS do not have the brightness as the 2016 Samsungs 1000 nits but the OLEDs overall picture quality makes up for any shortcomings of brightness.

Hey guys just got a 65 b6 and so far I'm loving it! However, the tv mounts so high on my existing mount. Does anyone know of an offset plate I could get to lower the tv without having to reinstall the mount? At best buy they had a mount that attached to the tv first then the two arms attached to that to keep it lower. The guy at the store said LG came and put that in so it would fit in the display.

C6. There is probably a couple inches removed/added to the width. Didn't feel like moving it out. It is a little bigger than my Samsung 65 inch. I am guessing to protect the curve.

I just ordered my LG OLED from CP as well -- question, did you end up purchasing the extended warranty offered through them, or will you purchase it elsewhere (or not at all)?

I bought an extended square trade warranty from Costco Friday night. 90 dollars if you have a membership. I bought a membership at the same time and paid 144.99 for both.

You have it hooked up backwards. Cable,Bluray to receiver - receiver to darbee - darbee to B6
Care to share some pictures with darbee on and off on your set? Curious how it helps a cable source on oleds.

While watching Ghostbusters UHD (I feel asleep for a bit ), a stuck green pixel appeared in the top black bar.
It was present all HDMI inputs, after power off (set to energy efficient), and even after unplugging and re-plugging the unit.

It was fixed by a panel clear.

I have my B6 hooked up to an Onkyo TX-NR757 via ARC. Everything looks great except when I watch a movie on Prime it shows "tv" on the Onkyo. When I want to go back to watching regular tv it won't do it....it shows no input and I have to hit the cable/sat button (I have a Tivo) on the Onkyo to get back to regular cable from the Tivo. What am I doing wrong?

TIA,

JHawk

Oh wow. Best Buy raised the prices on the sets?

Jeeze. I need to exchange my 55 inch set because of the weird dead pixel cluster at the bottom right of my screen.... and I was going to just exchange up to the 65 inch. Now I am screwed. Im not doing 4k for that tv. 3500 I was considering because my mom was going to throw some in for my birthday and I could put some in and the rest on 24 month financing.

damn...

I called the guy who sold me my 55 and explained everything he said hes gonna be able to get me the 3500 no sales tax price with no problems. Although I could get it cheaper online, I will take the hit because I can get 24 months no interest and because its easier to switch out defercts

Here's a suggestion. I haven't tried it, but someone on one of these many OLED threads said that it works:

Buy a TV from a reputable dealer, then maybe a week or so later find a website like iElectrica that has the same TV for less than you paid. Then call your credit card company and see if they will refund you the difference. It's called price protection. You usually have 30 - 90 days to make a claim.

Like I said I can't verify it works, but you could do some research or call your credit card company to see. Could end up saving hundreds in the long run.
