Cool vid on YouTube

Okay OLED owners - do a search for this on YouTube:

"4K 5min StarField Waves 2160P FREE Motion Background"

This would make a cool built-in screensaver for the tv to show off the blacks and colors.

OK, been reading the thread and am even more concerned now about pic retention/burn in. I subscribed to the OLED burn in thread too. I am sure hoping I did not make a mistake, as the last SONY 65XBR850A did not have any burn in at all and I watch a lot of CNBC daily so guess I will have to really be careful.

I have already burned in 2 plasmas before the Sony so I guess I should have read more about this first.

Out of curiosity, does anyone here own the UHD Blu-Ray of 'Deadpool'? If so, could you do me a solid and go to the 24-minute mark, where Vanessa is about to shove it in Wade's ass, and tell me if you see these same artifacts that I'm getting. The artifacting will occur in the upper right quadrant of the image, in Vanessa's hair.

I'm using the Oppo 203 as my BD-player. These are the only artifacts I've encountered so far. I just want to make sure it's the source material and not my panel.

Sorry for the autoquote hehe.

Am i the only one with this issue? Should any HDD, SDD or Flash Drive work?

I don't know about HDD.

I bought a cheap (50$) 256 GB USB 3.0 key, formatted it into NTFS file system and it work perfectly.

I watched Passengers yesterday and WOW
It might not be the best 4k hdr movie
But man, those deep blacks!!! Pretty sick !! The time when you see the sun and stuff, it is just amazing...It is like it looks even better that itd look in real life
Some moments are just jaw dropping... but what impressed me the most is deep blacks, and seeing that sun or whatever it was
And the immersion is real on my C6, when it is the night, all my room is real dark, I feel like I am in the movie
I just love my new TV, best material I ever seen
I would get bored watching some movies with other TV, but with that TV, I am just like WOW and keep looking even if I dont even like the movie, just to see the crazy amazing scenes

Dejudder more than 0 will create artefacts.

For me DJ at 2 is the acceptable limit. Minimal artefacts.

However some sequence, like someone walking in front of a fence will always cause massive artefacts.

Combining DJ with Deblur also increase the number of artefacts

I'm using the calibration settings from the youtube video at the top of the B6 Settings Options thread. For ISF Dark, they have OLED Light set at 28. That was WAY too low for me. So much so that I was using the ISF Bright mode which I really didn't want to use. I was actually getting frustrated with it because I was constantly going back and forth between both modes. I noticed in this thread people mentioning having the OLED light set to 60-65. I upped it to 60 and it looks great! So far I'm even able to use the dark mode during the day team. I guess it's really a matter of preference and of course, the room lighting.

To be honest, almost impossible to find any UHD disks over here , I am not sure if I can say where I get those movies in this forum, but I had the movie file in my flash drive.
Using a bluray player would be a lot better of course, but for now it is what I have.

Not being critical, but when you post something like praise for Passengers it's only natural that people will want to know the source. Having watched it as an illegal copy it might have been best not to post.

I posted about this issue a while back and did not get a solution. However, I have diagnosed the exact problem a little more and was hoping folks could help me. SO here is my issue...I would say 75% of the time when I turn my TV on and it boots up to the input with either my Roku or Firestick the TV does not seem to get a signal and i get a "signal not detected" error. However, when i go into inputs and switch from one and back again then it seems to pick it up and everything is fine. Why when turning on my TV does this keep happening? It didn't seem to happen when i had a cable box but now that I got rid of that i can't test anymore. It happens most of the time on Roku and Firestick and my DVD player and I have to toggle off of the input the TV booted up on and pick something else then switch back again and then the signal gets picked up. Please help this is super frustrating!

Quick question as I'm a bit "green" when it comes to understanding the streaming bitrate of apps like Netflix and Vudu.

I guess my question is, if I were to upgrade my service from the mbps that I'm currently using to 100mbps, would I see an uptick in video quality when it comes to UHD content? I don't have any lag issues or drop in MBPS with the service I currently have. But I do want to optimize my streaming content to the best bitrate it can output.

I guess what I'm really asking is, do these apps output at a higher bitrate than just 50mbps? Would I see an upgrade in video quality if I opt to go with the 100mbps?

By the way, for everyone having doubts about buying an Oled
Rtings just rated Z9D 8.2, while LG C6-B6 is rated 8.6!!!!
I think thats not bad for a TV you can get ALOT cheaper
And almost all the complaints I see on this forum against Oled, it is the content 95% of the time
Give something beautiful to your Oled, and your TV will keep amazing you, with few jaw drops there and there
Give crap content, and you will notice the crap even more than any other TV, because you can see details alot more on Oled TVs, that's just it.. it is mostly director faults and compressed videos

hey just a quick question. i've been experiencing much more "noise" and artifacts within the last couple weeks on the 65c6. does anyone have any idea what it could be?

i've cleared the panel noise, but it helped minimally, if at all. at first i thought it was my Frontier FIOS cable, which has a lot to do with it (the noise has been awful on some stations recently. any light reflections on skin tones looks like a huge blotch on their faces or bodies.) but i've noticed similar noise while watching Split in 1080p on Kodi this week. a lot less than cable, but still noticeable in some scenes and still there.

i also have noticed noise on Netflix (particularly watching Revenge) in the background. this is a lot more static looking. if something isn't in the foreground, it seems extra "static-y".

i sit about 6-7ft away from the tv. not sure if that has anything to do with it. but for example, i watched the same episodes of Netflix on my 55" "fake" 4k tv in my bedroom (about 8 feet away) and didn't notice the same issues.

is it something in the settings that i'm missing? or is it the panel?

please help! dropping $2600 for my first "good" tv and i've been utterly dissatisfied the last few weeks.

I'm curious too cuz my spectrum internet is around 50-60 mbs. Can some one help us on the exact speeds we need to properly run streaming 4K HDR movies? I have Netflix too.

All you need is about 20-25 mbs for current 4K content. The question is if you are truly getting the rated amount you purchase for especially during heavy hours in the evening along with other users in the living space =P

Just check the resolution that Netflix is outputting (with Info button) to see if you're actually getting the resolution that you should be getting from a Netflix show. If it's 4k show and you're getting 4k resolution from Netflix, then your internet is fast enough...

Ok good news then! My 50-60 is enough! Good point about the evenings though when the whole world is using internet. It died slow down. That's why I can't wait to get my oppo 203 so I can not have to stream as much.

Hmm - I use a Harmony remote and I just press the Info button while watching a Netflix show - it pops up a little window in the corner showing the bitrate and the resolution that the show is being shown it. 4k shows usually start at a lower resolution until they have enough time to buffer fully (5-10 seconds or so).

Not sure if the regular LG remote has an Info button though (can't remember since I don't normally use it). I also have a B6. Netflix removed this functionality for a while but added it back in a recent update...

That's right they just updated the Netflix app a few weeks ago. Ok tonight I'll see if I can use my lg remote to click in the upper left hand corner like I do the rest of my devices. Thank you!

I think it's the scroll wheel, you press it and you should see on the top left some information. Then drag the cursor to that and click again.
