You do need to activate hdr in display setting. Make sure you have 10 bits setting or more in Nvidia control panel .
I use the Windows Movie & TV , it looks the same as potplayer and also no sound...
I'm am using 10/12 bit , it's automatically when HDR is enabled.
still I don't understand.
please check and tell me
This is the video I'm using
you can download from the link above or from the youtube links, I took it from there.
It seems that HDR works in potplayer because when you are not enabling windows HDR then the video is all messed up in the Movies & TV App .
But the issue is Potplayer with Full Screen Exclusive , it doesn't work at all with HDR it seems. don't know who needs to fix that , madVR , Potplayer , Windows 10 HDR . so I have no idea. but the Media player ( potplayer ) have no issue with HDR, if you didn't use potplayer or you don't use it then you should. it's the best player , so forget for now it could be the issue cause it seems it doesn't, at least for now so we know what to focus on.
Tell me if the Youtube looks the same on your player , because youtube doesn't support HDR so it shouldn't look the same as youtube, but it does ... so that's what buggeling me.
