Man, this is one time where I'm glad the B6 firmware updates lag behind the other models! :-) It seems like the last two non-B6 firmware updates have really fouled things up for non-B6 owners...

I am unsure, but it also happens with my PS4 Pro. Very annoying. I think the Pro just has quite a few issues. As I also have handshake issues even with certified hdmi cables.

I turned off my "automatic updates" on my B6 after I heard of the issues with the last few non-B6 updates. I'll just do them manual from now on just in case.

Not a big problem because I've got a work around but tonight when I turned on the LG B6 along with the Oppo-203 and Directv Genie I got a weird thing happening with the picture. It was like the show would pause and start, pause and start, pause and start. I turn the channel and the picture is smooth as butter. Problem solved. No more frame by frame pausing and starting. I've got my genie plugged into hdmi 1 of the oppo and then the oppo to the hdmi 1 of my LG B6. Both cables are certified hdmi cables so I don't think it's a handshake issue. Any ideas? Like I said not a big deal cuz when I turned the channel everything was normal. Oh and sometimes the sound won't come on but when I turn the channel it's fine? So it looks like turning the channel helps to fix everything when first powering on. LOL! Thanks!

I was also wondering if I have my DirecTv set to Native Resolution but my oppo is set to UHD Auto will that cause issues? So ESPN broadcasts in 720p but my oppo is upconverting to 2160p with the oppo set to UHD Auto. Am I losing the Motion of ESPN's 720p resolution by letting the oppo upconvert to 2160? I want the true signal when watching sports cuz I think we lose some motion quality when upconverting. Should I put the setting down to 720p on the oppo when watching my 720p sports channels?

4K is 2160p so no motion loss, did they ever solve the Synch issue on hdmi in ? That might be your issue.

Hi @chunon ! Long time no talk. You might be right about the sync issues with oppo's hdmi 1. I think I'll call oppo just to see. Worst case I was thinking I could plug the Switch into the oppo's hdmi 1 since I don't use it every day and put the Genie back directly to the B6. But the oppo was sweet when I watched Fate and the Furious in DV the other night. Unreal quality.

Thanks for confirming.

I don't want to chance it and HLG is not in my priority list , I'll stay at current 04., the only issue is this annoying reminder every time I switch it on, my fear is that kids may inadvertently start the update, even they have been warned

Someone in the UK forum said to go to your firewall and disable the snu. Lge. Com in your firewall settings and you will stop getting that notification. I haven't tried it yet but I saw another member on there who did it and he said it worked for him as well

For me, it does not. I have two C6's (55 & 65) and both show the same frame dropping issue (with Vudu UHD streams only-Netflix is fine). The 65 shows the issue to a lesser extent, but once you know it's there, you can't un-see it. I will be regressing both back to 4.31.00 (the 55 for the second time) over the weekend and leaving well enough alone until LG sorts it out.

Guys,

How or what is the best way to watch HDR or UHD movie with Potplayer or MPC-HC and such ?

Windows 10 1703 15063.540
I'm using 1080GTX with Potplayer + LavFilters + madVR 91.11

I have [email protected] HEVC-BT.2020 Life_of_ Pi_draft_Ultra-HD_HDR just to test .

Do I need to enable the Windows HDR before playing it in the program ?
Can I use Full Screen Exclusive ? because when I do the TV doesn't say it's in HDR BT.2020 anymore, just 3840x2160p PCM and that's it.

I'm am using 10/12 bit , it's automatically when HDR is enabled.

still I don't understand.

please check and tell me

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5...E5rRWdMZEhIaWM

This is the video I'm using

you can download from the link above or from the youtube links, I took it from there.

It seems that HDR works in potplayer because when you are not enabling windows HDR then the video is all messed up in the Movies & TV App .

But the issue is Potplayer with Full Screen Exclusive , it doesn't work at all with HDR it seems. don't know who needs to fix that , madVR , Potplayer , Windows 10 HDR . so I have no idea. but the Media player ( potplayer ) have no issue with HDR, if you didn't use potplayer or you don't use it then you should. it's the best player , so forget for now it could be the issue cause it seems it doesn't, at least for now so we know what to focus on.

Tell me if the Youtube looks the same on your player , because youtube doesn't support HDR so it shouldn't look the same as youtube, but it does ... so that's what buggeling me.

65 C6 to be delivered Saturday

I battled between a 930E and the C6, in the end with price I got about 300 less then a 930 and coming from Plasma I thought it was best for me, also I liked the idea of the curve that many seem to not care for.

Can anyone tell me with an OLED and set up is there anything I need to look for particularity or any information that you can share is appreciated.

If I have the original 4.31.00 firmware update file on my flash drive can I use it to downgrade? Here's the filename:

Have you tried unplugging the TV? My C6 did something similar, and I unplugged the set for several minutes and tried again and all was fine.
