Oh ok thanks. I thought I read somewhere that because it uses a better video chip than the C6, that it and the G6 both get newest updates

The C6, G6 and E6 all use the same chip and all three are 3D. The B6 uses a different chip and is not 3D.

Isn't there also a difference in YouTube HDR processing?

Not that I am aware of. There might be differences with updates...which version it's running on. The B6 might be an exception, not sure.

I think the G6 supports the vp9 codec but the C6 and B6 do not.

Screen issues, 4K viewing hours, blob visible mainly on yellow, orange or red background. Panel overheating is my guess. Any ideas how to fix? Tried basic screen maintenance tasks.

Odd indeed. Sorry, I have no ideas...I take it you do not have an extended warranty?

I've been doing some checking and I may get lucky after all, turns out my AMEX offers 1yr extended warranty on purchased electronics. Go figure.
Not sure if it qualifies for replacement but I do have a few weeks left on that. I also checked with LG - panel replacement would run $2,200 plus labor so no way it's getting fixed.

AX will setup an appointee with local LG technician, if they think it is not fixable they will refund your charge with a check. they might not pick the tv.
my friend's plasma was taken care off this way, his tv plasma will turn off randomly.

Take everything you will need to test the 3D before parting with your money. Make sure the 3D filter is aligned end to end properly. I recommend the 3D movie Tangled. Also test it for burn in...you can use this Youtube vid...

Does anybody know if the C6 is getting the latest update to fix HDR mode with PC? A Rec 2020 issue or something?

Call LG during normal business hours and ask to speak with the "OLED" team. You might get them to replace the part. You won't get anywhere with the regular Customer Service reps. They may turn you away and ask all kinds of nosy question. But this needs to be escalated. If they resist but ask to speak to the OLED team anyway. Be persistent with them in a nice way and you'll probably get help.

HDR should be HDR, I would talk to the guys in the MadVR thread under home theatre PC section. I use Win 7 and my HDR kicks on as soon as I start playing a UHD, and turns off when I exit, not sure how Win 10 handles things.

LG B6 (Chad B. calibrated)
Yamaha 681 AVR
Polk Audio 3.1.2 Atmos
Panasonic UB820

Can you get HDR and DV from your Xbox one X and PS4 pro on your C6? I thought I read somewhere the C6 is not supported?

The C6 doesn't do DV from Xbox one x. The Xbox uses a newer codec then the tv has. Hdr works fine

I get crosstalk if I am not looking at the screen from a more central location. This happens less if I am watching movies from my PC like VLC or MPC as opposed to WebOS
