It will most likely debut at a bogus MSRP like their 2016 lineup. Few weeks later it'll have a "price cut" to fool people into believing that it's one hell of a deal.

That sucks... sorry to hear. I too had the Slim, Mine was bought used around November 2013 and so far it's still going pretty strong. Both of my controllers are in terrible condition and don't work very well, though

LGD could not supply them with any significant number of 65" OLED panels. Which is what they wanted. The price point of the 55" OLEd was already in the luxury segment for China. So not being able to supply the 65" was a problem. Look, I don't make this stuff up. I read it at least 2 different place awhile ago. One was at goodchinabrand.com. That place is impossibleto search, but it is there a few months back.

I also own a Fat which is a few years older, still works fine. I only use the Fat for games. I watched over 500 Blu-rays on the Slim last few years. Looks to me like it cannot handle that.

The controller of my Fat just stopped working. I bought a new battery..see if it will work again.

It is the ''very populair product'' vs. ''sales are dissapponting'' what bothers me. When sales are dissapointing they might turn that around claiming that they had not enough OLED panels that is why sales are so poor. Not shure what is going on here..

I know they would not send out a TV with crappy sound, but I do wonder what the sound quality is going to be.

That is certainly one way to get rid of the obese bottoms on a TV set.

I don't trust it, but good news is, I don't care. They'll be 100% off.

I'm more concerned about the slight tilt. But the fact that they mention the same processor that's used for the Z9D makes me somewhat hopeful the full MotionFlow toolkit will come with. If they are using the 2017 panels from LGD, then they should have just enough brightness to be able to do strobing tricks and still do good enough HDR.

Sony 65A1E, Marantz 5010, Polk LSiM 705/704.
