65 inch LG B6 and C6 now $2999.99, best time to buy?

The 65inch B6 and C6 are now $3,000 at Best Buy and Amazon. (I posted links but don't have enough posts to show them unfortunately since I'm new)

While this is a PSA for everyone and their own budget/needs I'd like some reassurance on my end that now is the time.

In my particular case I have $500 in Best Buy gift certificates and around $650 in credit card rewards that I could apply to my card balance effectively getting this, from Best Buy, for $1,850 before taxes which seems like a no brainer. My current tv is a 51 inch 1080p plasma (Samsung PN51E550) so time to upgrade to 4K.

I don't have cable so this will be used for streaming and jumping into the UHD blu ray pool. I am a HEAVY gamer so is this good to go with the new firmware for XBOX One S and PS4 Pro? I don't have a gaming pc yet but I plan to build one soon. How does this play with PC as far as gaming goes?

With it now being $3,000 the price shouldn't be any lower until well after the 2017 models come out correct? Is now the time to buy? (In my case I'm considering the C6 due to having 3D. I don't use it now but I'd like to have it, especially after hearing how awesome it is).

Might want to check your locally owned video stores. Where I live the one in my area is doing $2999 plus an instant $250 off coupon and they are also providing free 4 years warranty that starts after the manufacturer warranty for a total of 5 years of warranty. And last but not least, 3 years zero interest financing.

I am having trouble keeping my wallet locked up. Someone send help.

Well I have seen it as low as around $2,000 from random sites and eBay. Although the ease of convenience to return at Best Buy is reassuring if needed. Also having $500 in gift certificates makes it easier to purchase from Best Buy as well.

There is never a good time to buy, another price drop is always around the corner at some point along with a newer model with new gadgets to make the clearance item no such a good deal.......

When all is said and done I paid less for my E6. BBY has it's merits but if you want this set, talk to Cleveland Plasma.

I personally think that the wisest time to buy is always at the launch of a new model (or soon after, like a month later), even if you're buying last year's model.

That way you get to directly compare last year's and this year's models without having to worry about price-drops on both the new and old models (the new model will be too new while the old model should have already had most of them), nor worry about an even newer model TV coming out soon since the new model will have just launched.
