Awesome thanks for that info as I am watching the first episode of the new season of The Expanse and although it’s not 4k, this show looks fantastic on this tv!

I bought the luminoodles bias lighting strip. They turned off automatically the first time. Now they won’t turn off when I turn off my TV. Anyone know why? It’s driving me crazy.

This is probably because the tv isn’t fully shutting down when it begins running its background pixel refresh, only shutting off the display. It will still draw power to the USB ports when it’s doing its automated refresh. It should stop powering the USB port when it has finished its cycle and gone in to full sleep.

I don’t have bias lighting on my oled so I can only assume what’s going on

Which update ? What is the number ?

It sounds like you are watching cable TV, or you've got some settings that need revising. I have not noticed any difference or issues in which image artifacts has been introduced after installing FW revs. .36, .70, or .76 . . . . So, without more info about your setup, you're only going to get a bunch of guessing - like the one I just threw at the wall. Maybe it will stick, but most likely not.

Can you redo the video and show what happens when you switch between Standard HDR Mode, Cinema HDR Mode and Game HDR Mode ?

The info boxes are not firmware specific. I don't think they can be disabled. It's just a quick reference message. It's only on the screen for a few seconds.

That was it. It took a couple of minutes but they finally shut down. I’m amazed at how much more immersive it looks with bias lighting.

The master last has so much outdated info on it but after poking around a bit I found links to a few local places that were either closed or most likely closed... I mean, when you see a webpage talking about plasma calibration and it was last updated in 2010... well... I figure they won't be much help with my OLED assuming they are still in business. A couple others had horrible customer service reviews.

I'm sure there's somebody out there that can calibrate my TV apparently it's just a big PITA to find them.

Be patient. DNice has calibrated two displays for me and there were times where it would take a few weeks to hear from him during the process. He stays busy, as does Chad, but either one is worth waiting for. Hang in there, you'll be rewarded unless you live in Fargo, ND

Yes but I've noticed on some Blu-Rays when watching special features, deleted scenes etc, the 'Dolby Surround' info box is shown every time you watch a scene and every time it returns to the menu, which is really annoying.

All good... DNice responded in this thread like 3 weeks ago and told me to PM him... didn't get a response so I sent another last week and no response to that one either. Emailed him yesterday... and Chad this morning.

I'm plenty patient for quality work. No worries there. Thanks for the heads up.

Travis,
Thank you for the request.
Chad is touring your area now.
However, we need a day or two in order to work you into the tour.
We are looking at Thursday, April 19th or Friday April 20th... would this time period work for you?
Thanks,

Excellent. I've seen quite a few people say the same thing so I'm looking forward to it. They told me they'd be back in touch in a day or two about getting it done next Thurs/Fri.

Dumb question, but this $450 ISF calibration does SDR/HDR/DV correct? Game mode? I've looked at the website and I see "Every aspect of video performance is optimized to the fullest extent in Chad B's ISF calibration, and no stone is left unturned. It typically includes day, night, and 3D modes, though that depends on your display and wishes" but I still wanted to ask.

It typically includes day, night, and 3D modes, though that depends on your display and wishes" but I still wanted to ask.

I think he will do whatever modes you like, he is very through .
