SyFy only has the initial broadcast rights so they only make money from the ads they sell during said broadcast. I imagine the show is pretty expensive so it might not be generating sufficient return.

As Amazon has the streaming rights, they would be a natural to pick it up going forward.

^actually Amazon is where I started watching the show...would be nice if they could save it. The show has some pretty incredible visuals imo.

have just experienced a new problem. While watching a Netflix series called "Safe" my B7A started switching Picture Mode. First it happened at the start of a new chapter. Then it started doing it during the playing. It switches to "Vived". It has switched from Standard(User) and Technicolor Expert(User) so far. I tried other sources on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Directv. It does it on all those sources. Looks like something wrong in the electronics. Anyone else seen this?

It's on Version 04.70.50. It has 94 hours of viewing.

chaps, I have a question about the remote: I don't have Netflix nor Amazon TV, so can I reassign one of these keys (or another one) to launch You Tube rather?

thanks

Hi folks,
I am going t buy a C7 or a B7 but, since the price difference is wide, B7 to cost 2,5 and C/ 1,5, I would like to know which differences there are, and if they worth the cost I would pay for the B7
Using the comparation system provided by LG on i'ts italian site, beside the weight and the dimensions I can't fidn any difference among the two.

Thanks in advance.
Ciao from Italy.

The differences between the B7 and C7 European version are only aesthetic, they both support Atmos also via ARC. Go for the C7, looks better.

I've followed this thread for hundreds of pages and don't ever remember hearing that problem reported. Are you certain you don't have a Harmony or other universal remote that might be misbehaving in some way? Any other unusual remote setups with BT or IR blasters? Otherwise, sounds like a flaky set.

Could it be that it switches to HDR mode when you start the show? You should get an icon in the top right. HDR has it's own picture settings profile.

I hear folks talking about the 'panel lottery' here a lot when it comes to our LG OLEDS, but since they provide the panels for Sony and Panasonic, do they have this same gamble?

I think you are right. Was hoping it might be something simple. My wife operates this set frequently and is often guilty of what I call "flying fingers". I was hoping for that.

I tried it on all the different modes, sdr, hdr, Netflix, Amazon, Directv. Haven't tried DV yet. It was happening much more quickly on Directv.

Hey,

Is it normal that after switching back to an input that uses ARC from my AVR HDMI 1 the AUDIO doesn't switch to ARC automatically?

- If i'm watching a native app or whatever TV HDMI ARC and switch to AVR HDMI 1 it does automatically (turns on ATV).
- If i'm watching ATV connected to AVR HDMI and switch to any TV HDMI the ARC AUDIO isn't detected.

any ideas?

I'm assuming that you are using the built-in Netflix apps. My guess is that you are watching content with varying dynamic range signals; i.e. SDR/HDR/DV - - - and you forgot to chose the appropriate picture modes for built-in app playback. When using the built-in apps, you may need to choose the picture modes you prefer more than once as each app has it's own dynamic range table. Think of each app as being its own virtual "input".

I've been running the update for over 24 hours, and it seems works fine. Below is a rough Korean to English translation of what was fixed in .90.

C7 has superior sound and many think it looks better. C7 usually more expensive than B7

Gotta say, coming from a 9-year-old Panasonic plasma to a 65" B7, I was expecting to be wowed by the OLED picture quality, and I just haven't been. The motion-handling by my old plasma is far, far superior to the OLED. The screen uniformity of the old plasma is better (my B7 has vertical banding, and even some horizontal, giving a "hash mark" appearance to dark, solid colors, and even some lighter ones), and even the color on non-HDR content is better on the plasma. Unfortunately, even though the online retailer I purchased from is an "authorized" LG retailer, they won't agree to an exchange unless LG deems the panel defective. I could return it, but I'd have to pay for return shipping, which would be multiple hundreds of dollars. Lesson learned, in that regard. So at this point, my only hope is that the panel will get better as I put hours on it. Having seen posts in which people describe uniformity/low-light handling improving with age, I'm somewhat hopeful that I'll see the same thing.

Ciao from Italy.
Basically there is no real reason to buy a C7, its all about color preference and that's it.....

B7A = tiny silver trim around tv, acrylic stand, no Atmos speakers but will transfer Atmos surround sound
C7P = tiny black trim around TV, silver stand, Atmos speakers that are pointless for a TV

Does it?

My B7 has a silver bezel but it's so narrow I don't even notice it when watching. I heard something about the C7 having a better stand too?

Again... I don't spend much time watching the stand that's behind the sound bar anyway.

Kinda sucks... I miss out on a stand and a bezel but I did save the difference... $100? Enough to stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight.
