They haven't listed it on the website yet not sure why. -> http://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/supp...ftwareFirmware

It is odd. I checked for an Update as soon as I had it up and running, and it found no newer software to install. I posted in here last night, and this morning I have the new 3.60.09. MAGIC!!
What is really odd is when I called LG Concierge Service yesterday asking them about the software update THEY had an earlier version than the one I have as the most current software.
Oh, well...It is all OK now.

Something interesting about Dolby Vision Calibration, CalMAN 2017 final release will include the capability for all 2017 LG OLED models to measure some required color patches and create special file for Dolby Vision Tone Mapping which you will load it using a USB Stick to one of LG's USB port which will help the Dolby Vision's Display Mapping Engine which is embedded to the display SoC to do the proper tone mapping.

Get an LG SIGNATURE welcome kit by registering your W7!

I received an LG SIGNATURE flyer in the mail today that offers an "LG Signature welcome kit" to LG Signature purchasers, a complimentary LG G Pad 10.1 tablet & a $200 Amex gift card*. The flyer has the refrigerator, oven range, washer/dryer, and OLED TV W. It doesn't list the OLED TV G.

*All consumers who purchase an LG SIGNATURE product and then register said product at https://www.lg.com/us/support/product-registration will receive an LG SIGNATURE welcome kit containing one $200 Amex gift card and one LG G Pad 10.1 tablet. LG reserves the right to substitute welcome kit contents. Offer is limited to one welcome kit per household regardless of the number of LG Signature products purchased.

I recently purchased an A1E myself so I don't qualify, but hope this helps some of you!

Does anyone know of an additional cable for this TV can be purchased, extending the length of the current cable? If so, I'd love to know where to buy one and if extending the cable would have any effect on the signal quality. Thanks.

I've had this set for about a month now, but I just unboxed it earlier this week, since it's being installed in a new house I bought a month ago. I can't believe this thing has this stupid ribbon cable, which isn't flexible at all, and I can't find anywhere to buy another cable so I can extend the sound bar into a room behind where this TV is mounted, out of sight, where one of my equipment racks are located. I wonder if LG really thinks that the majority of people who buy this set don't own an external audio system and will use this sound bar. Watching the little speakers pop out and go back into the sound bar, but I'd really like to hide the entire thing.

Now you can't make a post like this and not comment on PQ. It's not allowed.

BTW, aren't much of the electronics of the display located in the 'sound bar'? IOW it's not just a sound bar.

Got the chance to get a hands down on the 65" W7 to day.
Stunning looking tv a Sony A1 was close to it and it looked so out dated vs the W7 on design.

The sound on the W7 sound bar had a large front stage ,not a proper Atmos cinema exsperience but it added more space sound infront of the seating position.
Not as tiny harsh sounding as a Sony A1 slight high pich screaming sound.

I am in the same boat, really want to buy one but my wife would kill me if I had to put the soundbar anywhere in plain sight. I also have no use for it.

Might have to get a Samsung q9f instead.

Here's how I hid mine... I have another soundbar and woofer ARC connected... I zip tied it to the back of the component stand, totally out the way.

I have all of my equipment in a rack upstairs, and the guys doing my install are wanting to hide the soundbar completely in a room directly behind where the TV is mounted, where I have another rack of equipment. I won't be using the soundbar at all, I just need to hide it. I don't think an additional cable can be purchased anywhere.

I got one of those too. The W7, Q9F, Q7F, and E7. I figured with a new house I had to get new TVs. Luckily, I don't have a wife to impact my decision making anymore.

It's not just my wife I am not a fan of having anything else on the wall as well, especially since there are already built in speakers there. There is a closet right on the other side of the TV wall though, I could maybe get away with putting the soundbar in the closet, then hopefully LG releases a junction box sooner or later.

Is the W7 that much thinner than the q9f?

Not sure, my Q9F comes in next week, but the W7 is pretty thin. It's bendable, so you have to be careful installing it. It's the first set I've ever owned that mounts to the wall with magnets.

I’m really torn on getting the 65” W7 or the 75” Q9F. Their both the same price but the challenge is that I’m coming from a EF9500 OLED and worried about any LED haloing or flashlight effect. Should I be concerned about this with Samsung’s new QLED TV’s? Worried that once you go OLED you never go back! Thoughts?

You can't go back... you're going to see that haloing. blooming etc instantly.. you'll try to ignore it for a good 1 day... then by day 2, you're going to be mad and realize you'll have to go through the return process...

Stick with OLED, trust me.. I tried last year with a 930D and didn't make it 3 days.

Yeah that’s what I was afraid of. Once you experience perfect black there’s no going back. W7 it will be. Waiting for the first price drop then I’m in!
