It might get better but like Cam said, it's hard to say. The first 200 hours things can change a lot. Once you hit 200 I wouldn't expect major changes.

I decided to play the Panel Lottery. I may have won. 3rd 65"C9 Pics below from 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Current) set in that order. 100% White & 5% Black. The Third set has the best White screen, but the 2nd set had virtually no dark screen banding. The 3rd is better than the 1st as far as dark screen banding. I've only noticed the dark bar right of center one time when I was looking for it in a dark panning sequence on NOS4A2. So it's a keeper. If it gets worse in the future I have Geek Squad 5yr warranty. The magenta and cyan tinting on the 1st 2 sets drove me nuts (Short Trip). Light colored walls, snow & light gray skies were the worst. Saw it on almost any show. Guess what they say is true about the lottery. "If you don't play you can't win."

05/19 Assembled in Mexico
The 1st 2 were both 04/19 also Mexico.

The camera is picking up some magenta on right side, but it does not show up when looking at it live. I may have to double check and see if I sent the correct photo of the current set. Will correct if I screwed up.

Camera always picks up more than you see. I posted some test videos the other day that I found will point out any red tint.

Hard to gauge the banding because of the pixelation, but your tinting is definitely better. What settings were you using for the tinting pictures?

I've been trying to figure out what the problem is when I'm playing 4k content with my fire tv stick 4k on my Panasonic OLED, I get really bad pixelation/banding even though I have more than sufficient connection speed, and it doesn't happen when using my internal TV apps, so I'm assuming the problem is with the firestick. I did this test though just to make sure there isn't something noticeably wrong with my panel. Wasn't sure which preset was best to use since it's not an LG/Sony, so here's the 4 main ones that would be used on this set: THX Cinema, THX Bright Room, Professional 1, Professional 2. (Professional 1 and 2 are what would be equivalent to isf day/night settings if you were to get the panel professionally calibrated)

Anything that I should be worried about from a panel point of view?

Looks pretty average to me, at lest for prior years sets. Thanks for posting pictures at different settings. Goes to show how important settings are when trying to show the banding.

One thing I will say is it seems LG has improved on removing a lot of the hard lines and lighter, larger bands in the 2019 sets. I don't really have any of those on my C9. Mostly just darker streaks without hard edges that fade into the surrounding areas.

Yep, which is really important on if it shows up in content.

My B7A has a good amount of bands if I look at the 5% slide but there are only 2 that show up often (1 VERY often and 1 somewhat often). I have seen the other bands maybe 2 or 3 times over the past year. However, I see my one prominent band a few times in nearly every movie I watch. Why is this compared to my other bands? Because the difference between adjacent areas is severe in these 2 instances (light vs dark) and they are very uniform (straight vertical lines). The 2019's do look much better in these cases.

I'll know for sure when my A9G comes soon (getting calibrated Monday at VE).

It's a third party refurbished 65A9F and I've only used it for a couple hours at this point. According to the service menu it was at 0 hours when I got it, but I've been told that these numbers can be reset back to 0 as well... assuming these numbers can be trusted, I plan to use it for a couple more weeks before deciding if I should return this.

65" A9G with approximately 80 hours. I haven't noticed any low luminance banding or non-uniformity during content, but I do have a slight magenta tint on the right side that is visible on some earth tones, like beige or brown.

That red tint would be a show stopper for me. Haven't been on this thread for quite a while and jeeze, nothings changed. Panel lottery and no overall progress on these issues IMO.

I don't know if you used ISF dark 35 oled light but that looks pretty good. These all have bands but not having "sharp" differences between the bands is good. If you have not tinting on 100% or minimal, I'd say you got a great C8.

Tint doesn't really change, some people say they see a slight improvement but it'll never go away. Here's a video I stumbled upon a while ago that will really show the extent of red tint.

That doesn't look so bad, hopefully I'll just forget about it as time goes on. That said, I found that the red tint (dis)appears depending on the viewing angle...

Yeah it doesn’t depending on how left or right you go, or up and down angles looking at the panel. For 2019 models both LG and Sony this is the norm, some are better and some are worse but earth tones is where it really sticks out.

Tinting and oled is so common. I’ve had 4 diff models over the years 55 65 and 77 and a number of exchanges and they all showed some kind of tinting. Some worst then others. I think my 65 had the worst tinting and my 55 b7 the least.
