Heres how to manually update if one wants to, the US site does not have any of the newer releases yet and the push is lagging behind. So if you want to upgrade and not sure how to here is a video with the steps for either the US site or the Korean. In this case it will be the Korean site. I repost this each time as some folks are new to either the forum or to picking up an LG OLED TV and the older firmware thread will sunset. Happy watching and enjoying this great TV, soon the E8 will take stage and no more new versions will be posted for us to update on our sets. Happens each year, they move on to the newest and stop updating, nothing new in the industry.

Installed it and as before just did a short video of it with no issues to report, give it a view, also did a quick demo of a video from the Dolby Access app which some are saying are not included in the EURO version. Great little app with some good Dolby Vision content if you haven't already checked it out do so. I can't remember if it was already preloaded on the home page or if I had to get it from the content store?

Perhaps a little off-topic, but your Dolby promotional video reminded me that I have wondered where/if we can find some of the LG OLED4K promotional videos that are running on these TVs in Costco and Best Buy.

Do the changelog refer to the netflix app sometimes muting the center channel, until you restart the app?

Thanks. There are a lot of LG demos available. I hope the one showing at Costco and Best Buy currently is among them. I'll start looking.

Any guess as to why they don't mention the Dolby Vision black level over hdmi fix in the change log? As far as we know, isn't that the big ONE? I've not read too many cases where someone complained about intermittent power on needed improving.

You are not reading this correctly, only one change in this release which is listed as

"Correct the problem of dropping to volume 0 due to a specific App operation. (04.70.76)"

But I think they are just lazy and really don't take pride in a tight change control log that is customer facing. Lots more going on then just one change.

Subscribed...not feeling the need to upgrade after .70...never had issues with the TV volume (probably because I don't use it)

At least LG is more agile than Samsung in their firmware deployments...

No problems with the update... .36 to .76 on my 65B7A. Unzipped to a thumb drive and TV recognized it at power on.

Thanks for the link to the demos too. I downloaded a bunch onto the same thumb drive and still haven’t picked my jaw up off the floor yet. Wow. Didn’t see these in BB when I bought the TV last month. Looking forward to showing the friends.

Welcome, I did the same, it's nice to have a goto demo reel when you want to show off the TV.

Let me note again that the notes on the Korean site while the last line only applies to the latest .76 update is that they do not list all changes and for sure they didn't list the DV update. So I am guessing that it's best to assume there is no complete customer facing change log and what you shown are just major fixes. DV improvements would be enhancements not really a major fix, audio dropping out would be a major fix, grey on something that should be black would be an improvement. I am just trying to highlight why LG or really whoever manages the software releases on the site might only be given the major fix log and not a complete readout. This is purely a guess but I can say with confidence that between version .36 and .76 should indicate 40 revisions have been made. This is unless there is some binary number scheme they are using but I kinda doubt that. One other things to note is that this software is actually used across some of the other non OLED 2017 models, so some changes even in the log might not even apply to our TV.

I don't know about your tv's, but mine doesn't recognize this fw update... Maybe because it's the European version (55c7v). Anyway my tv isn't listed as a compatible device, only 55c7p/a.

Yeah I saw the thread about the .70 update a few weeks back but didn't bother with it. Then when I saw the .76 update and then the announcement of the 2018 models I figured I'd go ahead and update because it might be the last update anyway.

I was assuming that the .76 would give me everything I missed in between that and the .36 firmware I was running.

Correct, EU latest is .65, here is the link

http://www.lg.com/uk/support/support...t/lg-OLED65C7V

The last thread covered all of that but EU uses a different firmware set, I think it's because of 220V / PAL and LG content store differences.

The second photo is clearly darker to me....so I think the elevated blacks are fixed, at least on that scene.

It's a poor attempt at showing elevated blacks on Dolby Vision content has been fixed in .76

ATSC3.0 tuner?

So does the OLED55E7P have an ATSC3.0 Tuner?
The new firmware lists two updates related to ATSC3.0 :

Ⓚ (Update) UHD ATSC3.0 reception problem response
ⓠ ATSC 3.0 Recording (04.70.06)

My area does have an experimental ATSC3.0 station, see
https://www.atsc.org/newsletter/capi...ision-station/

I've tried tuning in channel 39 but didn't get anything. I don't know the virtual channel so I may be stuck.

Sound Delays Continue

Was hoping this would fix the sound delays I'm experiencing with the Xfinity xg1v4 cable box, but unfortunately I'm still seeing some significant lip syncing / audio delay issues. Uhg. Hoping the issue another update before committing their full attention to the new models....

Only the Korean model has an ATSC 3.0 tuner.
