Great review Vincent. Hopefully Sony can fix the Dolby Vision issue and Netflix HDR issue via a firmware update. And hopefully an experienced calibrator that you get to calibrate the A9F will know to use the correct White Point and not the one recommended by Sony.

Agreed a nice review from Vincent. I noticed he’s refers to himself as a master caliber now.

Not to be a pill but what Sony is charging for the A9F they should have the dark Dolby Vision issue fixed by now. Vincent recommended HDR10 over DV on the A9F.

Of course! He has calibrated a Master Series, so he's a Master calibrator.

Also, since he's in the UK, he says the Sony logo on the lower left corner is on the right ;-)

There are lots of folks ''reviewing'' TVs on YouTube these days so i guess Vincent wants to distinguish himself by using 'the ''master calibrator'' title which btw is pretty much meaningless since there is no official pro-calibrator organistation that gives calibrators such title. It is just him saying that he is a experienced and respected pro-calibrator.

now that i had saw this comparison from Vincent and since im in Europe, im torn between the Panny and the Sony.
I just cannot leave Sony processing so easy for better calibration control of the Panny.
Maybe because i am calibrating alone with my own instruments and i use my pc with madvr and 3dlut i dont need the Panny right?
Also even if DV has something strange atm in Sony i dont wanna miss that to because i believe Sony will fix it eventually.

HDTV Polska A9F review: https://translate.google.com/transla...-text=&act=url

As gathered from the numbers from the very first Chinese review: the ABL seems to be(have) exactly the same as before:
