iOS 12 Colour

There are reports about that the iOS 12 update has changed the colour handling of some Apple devices. E.g.:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonk...-ipad-upgrade/

What is missing at the moment is a set of comparative measurements for iOS 12 /iOS 11. I wonder if someone here with the necessary equipment would be interested in taking such measurements.

Thanks.

Interesting I have a 4k appletv gen 5 and I updated the firmware to IOS 12 and I have a appletv gen 4 with the firmware before IOS 12. Would that work comparing the 2?

Not everyone can afford. There are other more value based options for you.

Go to the Apple store any day of the week and your question is answered

or there are some who can afford but choose not to because they realize iph and ipads have very poor price to performance ratio. prudence is the key word when making an investment.

Iphone X's are not investments, they're conspicuous consumption.

I couldn’t say. Most of what I’ve read relates to recent phones.

This is not an appropriate thread for that comment.

Hardly conspicuous. Everyone has some form of mobile device, and unless you are paying way too much attention to other people’s business, there’s not much difference between someone holding an iPhone X versus and iPhone 6 versus any android device that’s been sold over the past four years. To me they all look like small black rectangles.

eh , people should spend money where they want.

People outside of this forum will probably call most of us crazy for our AV or home cinema pricetags.

Also sometimes people make purchase decisions for a brand that has nothing to do with price to performance. (design, OS, enviroment burden, investments with their profits, privacy, data handling)

On topic: i have not noticed any change on my apple tv when i updated, but i do not have multiple apple tv's so i cant do a side by side.

Sony KD-55A1 OLED Owner
Playstation 4 Pro
Apple TV 4K
Xbox one S
