I use ISF and have the Color temp set to Warm 1.
For your case for best picture settings, I suggest not putting Raiders games on the TV

I’ve been researching buying a new gfx card and looking for info how the c9 handles freesync. I figured I would have to go with amd but now with Nvidia g sync patch coming looks like I can stay with the cooler temps and high efficiency of Nvidia.

I will wait several months to see how it gets implemented, after the dust settles Nvidia may even add my 1080. If they don’t looks like I can go for the 20 series and not have to wait on a 2.1 card.

I’ve been trying out lots of games that have I have collected over the years and my jaw drops and I speak out load to myself every time especially in dark scenes. For a gaming enthusiast the dark scenes look next gen vs the lcd blooming I’ve suffered since my plansma broke years ago.

LG mentions only fullHd when talking HDR VRR. So no VRR and HDR for higher resolutions?

So far I love my c9 but today noticed in a snowy scene a yellow band towards the right side. I'm still in my return window. I have really good gray uniformity but my white shows magenta on the left and a yellow band on the right. The idea of exchanging it sounds rough. What do you all think?

We probably need to see video cards with HDMI 2.1 ports for that perhaps. The good thing is these OLEDs will already be ready to accept the signals from those video cards.

Should 1440p 120Hz HDR be possible?

HTH.
Apparently the edge smoothing in Sharpness setting values 1-10 was a C8 feature that was not carried over to the C9 (or at least my C9). The first two images below are Sharpness 0, and the second two are Sharpness 10.

G-Sync support - perfect.

To have a perfect OLED gaming screen we need no limitation on HDMI-eARC pass-through.

Will be interesting to see if this is HDMI Forum VRR
or if NVIDIA and LG are using an own implementation.

Since they are talking about an Firmware Update for the television I am
pretty sure that this implementation is different compared to HDMI VRR (like the one found in the XBox One X).

If that is the case 5.1/7.1 LPCM support is even more important. I am 100% sure that no AVR will support this implementation of G-Sync.

I managed to see it the moment i clicked the link.

You see it during certain regular content as you said, that's reason for me to return it.

I gotten a 65C9 a month ago and i also had uniformity issues that i saw during darkish scenes, i returned it, and yes it was a hassle, but at the end of the day im happy i exchanged it, this new one i got has no issues from what i can see.

I would find it hard to believe that you cause the screen to go bad unless your where picking at it with a razor or a screw driver, I would say that is a coincidence.
In the end, it worked out fine. Best Buy replaced the TV without hassle. The replacement TV did come with a screen protector which was more in-line with what I expected. So, thank you everyone for the advice. Much appreciated.

The TV is gorgeous. To anyone who is worried about brightness, I find the TV to be quite bright. Certainly a lot brighter than my 12 year old Sony LCD. I have a well lit room and it works great. The screen surface does reflect some light. I notice it because I have big bay windows directly behind me without curtains. Since there are trees out the window, the reflections are muted and bother me not all all (very quickly I don't see them). If there was something large and white, like a house, instead of the trees perhaps I would need a curtain. So, I find the TV quite bright and am glad I chose OLED over QLED (whose main advantage for me was brightness and muted reflections).

This is indeed a limitation of current GPUs since there are not any with HDMI 2.1 and is a bandwidth issue.

You can get 1440p at 120Hz out of them but unfortunately they are limited to 4K 60Hz.

As Mabelrode mentioned, the great news is the TV is ready for new cards, it is just a matter of when they release because Nvidia isn't getting much pressure to release new cards from AMD and it them two years to go from Pascal to Turing.

I have this exact question too. I my case I already have an SK10Y and a 55 inch C8 with the TK10 stand but it is bothering me a bit that the soundbar is exactly the width of a 65 inch screen and am considering selling the C8 to get a 65 inch C9. It would be nice if I could just slot the new screen into the same spot.

Anyone using the C9 as a PC monitor?

Will setting the OLED light to 10 reduce the risk of burn In?

I'm also using Dark Reader ff Extension In full screen which turns every page i visit dark. I also have auto taskbar hide set to on.

On the C9 OLED, how do you display the current resolution information on any content that you are playing?

Also where are the motion flow settings in this TV?

From what I understand, yes. That's roughly the setup I'll also be using.

Thankfully this tv seems to be resistant to burn-in (I'm saying this based on Teoh's tests, and my own experience the last couple of months).

You did change your input to pc, yes?

How has been the panel quality been and defect rate with C9 65inch units? I had been reading about "panel lottery" here and in other forums. Seriously considering placing an on-line order for the C9 65inch. Don't want to have to put up with hassles of warranty replacements etc.

I have a few motion setting questions as I try to dial in my new C9. I've tried searching this forum as well as around the web for a definitive answer. Under the user trumotion settings, what do de-judder and de-blur do? The basic answer I am most likely to believe is they are separating the interpolation setting according to different framerate content (de-judder for 24 and 30, de-blur for 60).

With reach having a slider from 0-10, what's the difference between 1 and 10? 0 is obviously off, but do we know what the difference is between the other values?

Lastly, I've read that trumotion disables the judder free 5:5 pulldown and reverts to 3:2 pulldown. Is that correct?
