I'm it sure what you're referring to since I started late, but I'm referring to Kevin Miller at the lunch break, not many people were in the room and he was going over the settings and seemed upset that the settings were wrong.

if it was switching to pc mode and video was looping on pc mode then it was an uncalibrated mode using native color space.

Maybe that's what he was speaking about but it was fixed whenever it happened and that's when all content was set to 24hz to ensure it doesn't happen. Are you here? Of so I'm wearing the never forget t shirt. Come say hi.

Fafrd, no need to wait, I’ll give you my educated guess, crystal ball results:
1. Sony OLED
2. LG OLED
3. Samsung LCD
4. Sony LCD

This wasn’t too tough.

He just finished most of the results sounds like most of the color/picture categories it was either Sony A9G, or a bunch of ties with A9G/C9.

No real surprises. Anyone that’s seen both OLEDs knows how incredibly close the LG and Sony are. It’s also interesting how far LG has come with motion.

Well it looks like screen shots of the results were posted while I listened again and transcribed them.

Looks like the A9G did very well.

So the C9 tied the Z9F came in first place in only one out of 16 categories (SDR Day Dynamic Range), the A9F placed first in all 15 categories save that one, the C9 came in second or tied in all 16 categories, and te Q90R came in dead last across the board.

The A9F averaged 8.82 across all 16 categories, and the C9 came in 2.8% behind that score averaging 8.574 across all 16 categories.

The most impressive result to me is how close the C9 came to the A9G in Best-overall Motion Resolution, 2.7% behind in SDR Day, 2.6% behind in SDR, 2.6% behind in HDR and tied in streaming, and just under 2% below thecA9Gs Motion Resolution averaged over all 4 categories.

If LG had succeeded in releasing their 3.5ms MPRT / 240Hz Effective Refresh Rate technology on the C9, they may well have bested the A9G in motion resolution...

How has it widened? The A9G launched at $700 less than the A9F, whereas the difference between the C8 and C9 launch prices is smaller. I picked up an A9G for less than the MSRP of the C9, so I see price being a less significant factor this year.

IOW, if the 2 sets weren’t next to each other in an A/B, you’d probably never know the difference.

I was surprised the attendees didn’t vote (or did they?). I prefer to see both groups vote since even pros can have their biases as I’ve seen. Having both groups tabulated helps a bit in taming biases.

Well, there's launch MSRP and then there is discounted pricing. The 65" A9G is currently available for $3800 at Best Buy while rhe 65C9 is available for $3200.

So 16% cheaper for less than 3% 'worse' performance...

LG continues to hold the performance/price crown.

I don't know what the price gap was last year between the C8 and A9F (perhaps larger as you've indicated) but the performance gap was certainly larger than it was this year.

The space was narrow and didn’t allow for both the pros and attendees to view up close. :/ it was a large cluster of people in front of all the displays.

I mean we should all be honest. For the movie and tv viewer and no gaming, you can buy the Sony but spend over 20% more for it.

The LG is so close that when you factor in price, hdmi 2.1, and the incredible gaming performance it’s a better “all around” tv.

So at the end of the day, depending on a user needs you choose one or the other if price is no issue. That’s the bottom line. Otherwise they are both very good TVs.

Did panel uniformity conversations come up at all? Just curious...
