For my flight sim setup, my eyeball distance is 36" and I was planning on the LG 48" OLED as my next monitor. The 16:9 aspect ratio is actually a good thing for flight sims, as contrasted to racing sims, because of the greater "heads up" room. But, Samsung is doing close-out pricing of their 55" curved RU7300 4K set and I just can't go past it. At this size and my eyeball distance, curved is a real asset. I've decided that size outweighs the OLED picture quality and refresh rate is not a big issue with flight/racing sims, past a certain point. It looks like curved TV's are a goner, so I'll have to wait for someone to make an OLED curved gaming monitor to get the OLED picture quality--possibly a long wait.
