894 or whatever it comes out to be makes a lot more sense than calling it 899.

I haven't seen anyone in the thread call it an 899. It will likely be 892, 893, or something along those lines.

I just need to find a word that rhymes with Elusive. I had it written down somewhere but can't find it.

Tux posted in the "Hey guys..." thread that the next week or two is going to be about listening and tweaking these and another project he is working on. Sounds to me like solid progress has been made.

I think I've got these beat. Final sensitivity was measured around 93db +/-2db from 80hz to 17khz. They sound really good and I managed to get the parts count down to I think 11. Going by memory.

11 parts??? That would be crazy good for this 3 way.

I'd have to look back to see how much the woofers were because it's been a while since I ordered and paid for them.

How about seductive, because of all the wallets it's going to open?

I was thinking 'Impressive - 893', but not locked in yet.

Intrusive 1899
Elusive 1099
Impressive 893

ehhhh, not sure just yet.

I like abusive. Close to subusive, but that sounds like a sub design. Abusive matches these to, cause you can abusive #### out of them and they keep coming back for more.

Abusive should be saved for a 12" or 15" design......if they ever happen that is.

If these are going to come in at 92/93 will they still be suitable as a center for 1099 l/r?

Tux is probably close to done with the crossover. I'm just waiting on the 4" mids from the UK. I will call tomorrow to see when they are expected to get here.

Ya, there's just a few more things I want to try with this speaker, then measure them to death, then it's official. Right now it's done unofficially

Well I'm a little disappointed. I got an email from Celestion saying the 4" mids were being loaded on the shipping container this week and would take about 30 days to get here.......as in late August.

They said about 90 days for delivery, but it looks like it will be closer to 120 days. Bummer.

Dangit! Not sure i can wait that long. Guess i need to pick another design to build - any suggestions? Same width class of speaker. 50% music, 50% movies.
