I'm liking what you're doing so far! How do you out a link on your signature?

Go into the "Edit Signature" setting (from the menu bar at the top of the page go to Tools -> User CP -> Edit Signature).

Type some text into the box and then highlight it with your mouse. Then in the little icons just above the text box, click the one that looks like the Earth with a chain at the bottom of it. That's the "Insert Link" button.

Any photos or info on how you stuffed them and how much you used? Wondering whether to glue the stuffing to the sides and rear now (before I glue the baffles on) or do it later

That setup looks great. I really like the form factor of the 893. I'm not surprised about the comment about integrating with the subs either. The sealed roll of is good for that.

I hope they continue to impress

I used spray adhesive and two layers of 1/2" thick poly batting on the sides as well as on the braces. Going to place some additional loose polyfill into the cabinets behind the woofers.

Great, thanks. So about an inch on the sides and maybe the same at the back. Is it ok to cover the crossover with polyfill etc?

That's what I did... 1" - 1.5" on the side walls and back. I covered the XO as well with slightly less than the walls... I glued the poly to the poly on the walls... not the XO. I checked my B&Ws and the XOs have been completely covered for close to 20 years without issue, so I covered them on the 893. I'm going to place some loose batting behind the woofers as a "just in case".

I just stuffed them with polifill, a couple handfuls on each, just enough so it's nice and full, without been too packed. I had asked tux and he basically said its not critical. I'm guessing since the kids are closed back, it does make a huge difference.

Here's what it looks like inside. Cross over is behind the batting on the left:

Although not truly necessary, behind the SEOS and CD:

All done... Now I just need to run Dirac and do some listening:

As they are right now it's only 1/2 ". On the sides. Honestly I think they are fine like that. But when I get them back to the shop I guess I'll finish them with the other layer before I do the paint. I'll do some more listening in the next couple days and share my thoughts on how they sound.
Just checking in to see if you finished them @chrisvw How are they treating you thus far?

I haven't finished them, I'm having a hard time taking them out of my room! They have been pretty good, although I haven't had a lot of listening time here lately. I'm probably going to wait until it warms up before I paint them.

So after enjoying the hell out of my 893's for about three months, I finally got them out of my room and into the shop for finishing. Before painting them I wanted to appreciate what they had to offer. After several movies, music concerts in bluray and video games, I can say they are worthy of a nice finish.

I choose a color from one of my favorite cars it's called black magic pearl effect. And I'm adding brushed aluminum accent stripes. I hope they turn out well. I am putting a lot of time into them.

It's been a week that I have been working on them in the evenings mostly. I'll post some pictures of the progress I've made in the week.
