possible fusion-6 cc baffle adjustment

Good day all,

I just built a media cabinet with a 27.5 by 7.5 cubby for the CC. Now I was wondering if it is possible to modify the fusion 6 to fit these measurements or should I be looking at a different CC? Any questions/advice is welcome and TIA.

I think you would be looking to shave off more than 1.5 inches to make the box fit in your cubby. Just looking at the product information picture, cutting off that much would put the speakers all the way to the edge of the baffle even if you made another baffle and rotated the drivers so the flats were top and bottom. According to the tech drawing I found on the PE page for the fatal pro 6fe100 driver, it is 6.46 inches across flat-flat (and more than 7 inches across max dimensions). That would leave around half an inch of baffle top and bottom before you run out of space. I don't know enough to recommend something else, but in my opinion the fusion 6 wouldn't look too great squeezed in that tight, even though you could make it fit by making another baffle. I guess it depends on how badly you want to make it fit.

Hope this helps,
Dennis

Rather than slide a speaker into the cubby, you could build the speaker into the media cabinet. You could possibly adapt the Fusion 4/6/8 into that space.

That is what I was thinking as well. The space is 20 inches deep, so I could set a board as rear at the required depth and install a removable baffle?
