Best Movie Scenes for Intense Subwoofer Workouts

Our team had a heated but fun debate over the best movie scenes for unleashing the full potential of a subwoofer. From low frequency extension, to accuracy, articulation and sheer output, we came up with five of the most sonically impactful movie scenes from the past decade and shared them on our blog. We're always looking for great subwoofer demo material for trade shows, brick-and-mortar store partners, and for people who just want to enjoy the most intense experience possible.

You can see a few of our choices below, but what movie subwoofer moments blow you away?

"Interstellar" Beginning and middle of movie is pretty intense and digs deep.
"Unstoppable" Denzel train movie was also quite surprising!

The opening scene from Edge of Tomorrow will have you scared that your house isn't built well enough

It had me diving for the volume-down button just in case my ceiling started coming down. Wow, talk about intense!

My go to’s are often the opening chase/sandstorm scene in Mad Max, the opening sequence of Toy Story 2, the tall boy explosion and end battle of the last Rambo, LOTR ring drop, the last 40 minutes or so of Halo: Fall of Reach, the Jericho test in Iron Man, and the Indy Race in Iron Man 2.
