It's a costly item to make in terms of time because the MDF its made from must be milled from both sides, painted back, grill material added, and 4 pins pressed in. Based upon me letting it be known I was making a couple and thinking there was interest here, I thought I'd be inundated with requests for the one 'extra' piece. Two people on this thread got PM's from me asking if they wanted it, I got crickets. Finally a nice fellow in Australia asked and made it easier by getting me a US address to ship it to.

It's now an exclusive club of 3 people who have them. I doubt they'll ever be more if the requests versus those willing to actually fork over money for one that I experienced are any indicator. SVS is a profit-making business, they don't need to get stuck with product people won't actually value enough to buy it. I'm educated now.
Wow and what a lesson huh. I guess that's why experience is king!

SVS is an incredible company for even providing their intellectual property to a dedicated customer in the first place. Bravo.

Anyone else notice that the new SB2000 Pro has the flat, fabric-covered black? Betting it's the same pin pattern as the SB2000 (previous version), and one might be able to order one from SVS now.

It is however, made from ABS and not milled from MDF as the ones I made were.
