Channel Master CM7600 DVR Appears Not Support FCC Frequency Changed Channels
Is anyone having trouble recording local OTA channels that have had frequency change per the FCC mandate?
Recording was fine before the FCC change but unable to record after the FCC change after re-scanning channels.
I have a Samsung Smart TV & Channel Master CM 7600 DVR. The antenna & coax cable is connected to the DVR & the DVR is connected to the Smart TV by the HDMI cable & connected to the HDMI port on the TV.
Emailed Channel Master Support about the problem. They suggested I hook up the antenna directly to the Smart TV and perform channel scanning (Samsung TV must be connected directly to the TV port to perform scanning otherwise the Broadcasting option is grayed out and channel scanning is unavailable). Re-scanning of channels occurred successfully. Then hooked up the DVR as before. They then suggested to re-enable the Guide (in case miss a step in the channel scanning setup) and I was not able to bring up the local channel desired.
I responded back that the suggested procedures did not work. I am awaiting Channel Master Support response.
As it is now, the OTA DVR is useless since the local OTA channels with frequency change are no longer available for DVR recording.
