Speaking of Audi drivers. Wife got a Q7 a week or so back. Fantastic ride. Makes mine feel like a horse and buggy.

Shout has some great content. I've watched all of the Dick Cavett stuff. It's interesting to watch that show and see how much things have not changed at all. Energy, economy, politics, social issues, etc.

Shame indeed. Its too bad that he wasn't well enough to shoot 3 From Hell. Capt Spaulding's memory will most certainly be kept alive at our annual October HOTC viewing.

Apparently he did come in to shoot for a day.

From Rob Zombie:
Sid and I had a long talk on the day that he told me of his condition and he knew 3 From Hell would most likely be his last appearance on screen. Sadly it was. I knew it was very important to Sid that Captain Spaulding make one more round and he did. Sid’s time the film is brief. He was in rough shape that day, but he made his scene very memorable.

Yep. I just meant that he was supposed to be a main character. It's cool that he was able to make it for one day though. Pre-ordered my copy of the movie a few days ago.

Had the fortune to see him at a convention appearance a decade ago. He's one of the few actors that was as intimidating in person as on screen, with a piecing stare and threatening appearance.

Well, at least until he got up to talk. This evil-looking, intensely menacing man held the audiences attention as he told us funny stories of his career. As scary as he was on screen, he was just as laid back and folksy as could be. Gave me a real appreciation for his for his acting talent.

Just one week to go, boys. I've been stacking up unwatched horror BD's and UHD, and queueing up stuff since August! Can't wait to see that 4K UHD print of "The Shining" on October 1st too. Theatrically, I'll make an effort to see "Zombieland 2" on the big screen. Who else is psyched up?

Hey everyone! I decided to come out of the woodwork as I like to do each September. We didn't have that good of a summer where I live thanks to all the rain and lately I have been legit bogged down at work with extra shifts, so I've been a little slower than usual this year getting into the Halloween spirit. Things for me seemed to come around once we hit Friday the 13th earlier this month and I finally watched The Midnight Meat Train for the first time, a movie which I'd meant to see for ages. It was perfectly okay but got me thinking that I better start planning for October.

I do have an Amazon Prime membership (no other streaming services at the moment), but I did go through my own personal collection of DVD's and Blu-rays, and came up with this list of candidates that I will try to watch (the vast majority - although not all - are blind buys that I never got to yet). I doubt that I'll get to all of them but there are a few that have been in the queue for a while...here's my list so far...

Alien Abduction (2014)
All Souls Day (2005)
Blood Moon (2001)
Boogeyman (2005)
Carrie (2013)
Carver - Unrated - The Grisly Edition (2008)
Cat's Eye (1985)
Cold Creek Manor (2003)
Daybreakers (2009)
Deliver Us From Evil (2014)
The Dead (2010)
Devil's Due (2014)
Fist of the Vampire (2007)
The Gallows (2015)
The Grudge 1, 2, and 3
Haeckel's Tale (Clive Barker's) (2006)
The Hills Run Red (2009)
The Hitcher (2007)
The Langoliers (1995)
Lake Placid (1999)
Lights Out (2016)
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
Night Monster (1942)
No One Lives (2012)
Orca (1977)
Ouija Experiment (2013)
Ouija Resurrection (2014?)
Ouija Summoning (2015)
The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018)
The Rig (2010)
See No Evil (2006)
See No Evil 2 (2014)
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
Shutter (2008)
The Sixth Sense (1999)
Southbound (2015)
The Strangers (2008)
The Woman In Black (2012)
The Woman In Black 2 (2014)

No doubt there will be other candidates to watch that will pop up in the next week but I think this is a good base to work upon. In particular, I really want to get to Southbound and The Rig especially, but are there any others from this list that I should prioritize in case I end up needing to pick and choose?

Good to be back and I hope everyone is well!!!

Crawl and Midsommar are out on digital. Just watched Crawl. Thought it was pretty good overall. Couldn't crank up the sound as I usually do because it is late at night and my family is sleeping in the house. Will watch Midsommar tomorrow or sometime in the next few days.

I remember riding my bike to the ¢.99 video store to rent The Burning on VHS back in the 80's. Waited for mum and dad to go to bed and watched it. Good times.

I'm psyched....no doubt about that. But also a little stressed. My yard décor is a ton of work and it's tough to find time to get everything set up. Not to mention, I can't help myself, and I need to add in new projects every year (that also take a bunch of time). Gotta love October boys!!

The Midsommar on digital supposedly has the longer directors cut, but the theatrical version will get under your skin too.

I do have an Amazon Prime membership (no other streaming services at the moment), but I did go through my own personal collection of DVD's and Blu-rays, and came up with this list of candidates that I will try to watch (the vast majority - although not all - are blind buys that I never got to yet). I doubt that I'll get to all of them but there are a few that have been in the queue for a while...here's my list so far...

Alien Abduction (2014)
All Souls Day (2005)
Blood Moon (2001)
Boogeyman (2005)
Carrie (2013)
Carver - Unrated - The Grisly Edition (2008)
Cat's Eye (1985)
Cold Creek Manor (2003)
Daybreakers (2009)
Deliver Us From Evil (2014)
The Dead (2010)
Devil's Due (2014)
Fist of the Vampire (2007)
The Gallows (2015)
The Grudge 1, 2, and 3
Haeckel's Tale (Clive Barker's) (2006)
The Hills Run Red (2009)
The Hitcher (2007)
The Langoliers (1995)
Lake Placid (1999)
Lights Out (2016)
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
Night Monster (1942)
No One Lives (2012)
Orca (1977)
Ouija Experiment (2013)
Ouija Resurrection (2014?)
Ouija Summoning (2015)
The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018)
The Rig (2010)
See No Evil (2006)
See No Evil 2 (2014)
Shaun of the Dead (2004)
Shutter (2008)
The Sixth Sense (1999)
Southbound (2015)
The Strangers (2008)
The Woman In Black (2012)
The Woman In Black 2 (2014)

No doubt there will be other candidates to watch that will pop up in the next week but I think this is a good base to work upon. In particular, I really want to get to Southbound and The Rig especially, but are there any others from this list that I should prioritize in case I end up needing to pick and choose?

Good to be back and I hope everyone is well!!!
Interesting list I own a few of those and have seen some of the others. At least for awhile consider picking up the basic Hulu so you can watch the Into The Dark films from Blumhouse, they have a new one every month.

I had that stressed feeling too, back when I decorated my yard. I always felt pressure to top myself every year! The local community hayride even re-routed to go past our house, talk about pressure! So when we moved out in 2016, I "retired" from Halloween yard decorating...I still feel its pull sometimes but try to resist...

TV remember that..Anyway have a look at this show.. it's on ABC. I've seen the whole pilot a while back. There is an X-File - Fringe vibe that runs through this one. You might like it.

Good stuff...I will make sure both of these make the cut this year, thanks!

Thanks! I was wondering if anyone would notice that it was alphabetical. Next time I might put it in tomahawk order!

Looking forward to getting the festivities started in a week! I am in Canada and I don't think Hulu is up here, at least not without a VPN, but appreciate the suggestion.

Now that Disney has Hulu they are looking to launch it in Canada, no hard date yet but after Disney + launches I expect you'll hear something.
