Too be honest when I saw the guitar dude I groaned out loud, just came across as lame to me. Other then that one of the best movies I have seen in years.

I catch a lot of flak in other forums for mentioning that.Guess I am weird. lol

Listening with Focal Elex headphones, Topping DSD Dac, SENCUN-audio tube preamp with tone control and Modded Little Dot hybrid tube amp with Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV tubes, Dual Discrete Op-Amp SS3602, and Alps Blue Velvet volume pot.

Watching in a room ensconced in velvet.

Personally, I'd like to see NASCAR take a piece out of the Mad Max playbook and add the Guitar / Drum Chariot to races ..

LOL!

...He was silly, but totally in line with the "Mad Max world" imo - people gone completely insane, careless, nothing has the slightest bit of importance except gas, fun and chaos

Right. Guitar-dude's no more over-the-top than any of the other characters from that universe. Go revisit the first 3 films w Mel Gibson.

I don't think even that could make NASCAR interesting

The girls were hot, hot, hot. The sounds coming out of the speakers were second to none. If that doesn't put a smile on your face about money well spent, nothing will. But boring and ridiculous. Ejected after the first hour.

My impression from seeing Mad Max: Fury Road in the theater was a mirror image of yours. Like you, I enjoyed the good-looking women and the kick-ass audio. But in my case, I was mostly bored by the first half of the film, which I thought was a hard to follow muddle, but it got much better in its second hour. 7 Stars out of 10. Would recommend the BD as a rental but certainly not as a buy.
