Just off the top of my head:

American President
Casino
A Few Good Men
Goodfellas
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Pretty Woman
Scrooged
Shawshank Redemption
Top Gun

Some honorable mentions would be Armageddon, Bad Boys II, Jerry Maguire, Office Space, and Tombstone.

I tend to agree that comedies and/or seasonal titles hold up well to multiple viewings, but I also think "popcorn fare" movies (ie; most of Michael Bay's catalog) hold up very well to multiple viewings.

Do I have to turn in my AVS membership card if I admit that I have never watched anything 10 times? I have probably watched The Blues Brothers 5 or 6 times, and a handful of others 2 or 3 times apiece.

I'll get there one of these days...

Sure - you can count a title . . . as long as you watched the ENTIRE movie and not just some clips from it. tongue.gif

I usually don't get past the credits ... tongue.gif

Anyway ... most of the few I can think of have already been mentioned, but I'll add:

Some Like It Hot
Taxi Driver
Sunset Boulevard
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original)

I think this is a good definition, movies that no matter what else is on, when you come across them while channel surfing during commercials you end up getting sucked in and keeping it on. Some that come to mind are:
Goodfellas
Heat
Casino
My cousin vinny
Any of the first three star wars
Fargo
Despicable me
Any Tarantino movie
Step Brothers
Anchorman

Just to name some

Not to go too far off topic, but I imagine a teenage girl like you describe would also probably love one of the movies mentioned on this thread and one that hasn't been mentioned yet in that vein, imo; The Princess Bride and 7 Brides For 7 Brothers. smile.gif

(Late edit) I probably should also mention My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and Hello, Dolly! in case you or she hadn't seen those either.

yes, yes, and yes, you don't even need to watch the movie, just turn off the TV and listen to the dialog, you can add Reservoir dog to the list as well.

"That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten."

"Mmmm! Goddamn, Jimmie! This is some serious gourmet ****! Usually, me and Vince would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice right, but he springs this serious GOURMET **** on us! What flavor is this? "

"Well, the way they make shows is, they make one show. That show's called a pilot. Then they show that show to the people who make shows, and on the strength of that one show they decide if they're going to make more shows. Some pilots get picked and become television programs. Some don't, become nothing. She starred in one of the ones that became nothing. "

"I'm sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What's the matter? Oh, you were finished! Well, allow me to retort. What does Marsellus Wallace look like? "

And these aren't even the quote folks remember.

I agree with so many of the movies previously posted that I just want to add a guilty pleasure:
National Lampoon's Van Wilder

I can't count the number of times I've caught a few minutes on Comedy Central and no matter where I still find it funny. Ryan Reynolds is awesome, Tara Reid is still very attractive, and brought another movie to mind that I find funny time and again:
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle

They're not as great as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein or the great movies already suggested, but they're both light-hearted comedies that you don't really need to catch from the beginning to enjoy.

LOL. My wife catches me doing that occasionally and always says "Don't you have that already?" I typically say "Yes, but not with these commercials." tongue.gif
