That's the name of it. I was thinking it was called The Unlimited something or other.

Tommy Lee Jones again, who directs and stars with Samuel L. Jackson.

It's a dialogue film, just two guys in a room. That could be bad but in this case I found it riveting. Some humor at first, not so much toward the end.

It's a debate on suicide, for and against.

Available on Blu-ray.

From Cormac McCarthy's play. Does he have any non-dark work?

Finally! Another scramble challenge!

These eight images are taken from one film and arranged in randomized order. Given this numbering:

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8

...arrange the numbers into the correct chronological ordering.

I will haul out the old Damerau-Levenshtein engine to provide a score for each submitted solution. Where "0"= exact match (winner!), "1"= almost there ... up to "8"= could not be more wrong.

Editorial note: I think fans of the film will be able to puzzle it out except I now see two images which would be a coin toss for me. Sorry about that. An element of chance. The game is cruel.

Answer:

Spoiler!

I know this movie very well but it's still a very tough challenge. I recognize the scenes that some of the pics came from but not all of them.

3, 1, 5, 7, 8, 6, 2, 4.

A player! Thanks for trying; it is a tough one.

Damerau-Levenshtein gives you an edit distance of "3", meaning your solution needs three changes to be correct. Note: this algorithm handles transpositions, so changing "AB" to ""BA" is only 1 edit, not 2.

I don't understand what "distance between two strings and a function is defined, whose value is a distance between an –symbol prefix (initial substring) of string and a –symbol prefix of " means. I'm just going to guess again.

3, 1, 7, 5, 8, 2, 6, 4.

The "distance" is the number of edits it takes to convert one string into another.

For your second solution, the distance is... 1. Which is very close.

I will give this hint: both of your solutions have all of the left hand column images before all those in the right hand column. That is correct. I didn't do it on purpose, it is just chance from the random number generator.

I think it will be a crime if you don't get the point. I'd file a report with the contest Oversight Board.

Still, I see how others might not agree...

I'm just trying to get back to 0 before this round ends. I'm at -2 now so it's not a big loss if someone else gets the point.

Damerau-Levenshtein says... zero! A palpable hit. Who says the game is cruel?

The last two in the left column were the hardest for me. I just saw the film but couldn't have said which came first.

Review: Night Of The Living Dead (1968).

I wasn't sure about the last two in the left column either but she's still wearing a coat and he has a tire iron. I knew they were both from early in the movie but after pics 3 and 1. Pic 6 was the hardest one for me. I couldn't see anything in that one to tell what part of the movie it was from. I thought it was likely to be from later in the movie because you burned through four pictures from the first part of the movie already. I did know pictures 8 and 2 came before 4, but other than that I was just guessing.

I meant 6 to be easy: Ben's looking up because he's in the basement, which is in the last minutes of the film. He should have stayed there.

I couldn't tell he was in the basement from the picture. I thought maybe he was looking up because he was kneeling in front of the radio.

The Moms of Fifty Shades. Neither Harden nor Jennifer Ehle get naked or receive waffle patterns on their backsides.

Hot (?) sex without perspiration or even pubes. What an invention! Like draft beer in a bottle.

Actually... I thought they were trying to be a bit funny or wry with this. As if it were soap opera scenes from a near parallel dimension where this stuff is appealing.

Two sequels already in the works.
