1) Johnny Mathis - The sounds of christmas (Mono)
2) Daryl Hall and John Oats - Bigger than both of us
I also got U2 - Live at red rocks and was dissapointed!
Only 8 songs they did were on that album and only 2 OF THEM were actually from that day! (5 June 83) I am glad to have the WHOLE CONCERT on VHS - That was thier BEST CONCERT!! (They went downhill after 1983)
Sony XBR-85X900F, Oppo 203 UHD, Denon X6300H, Emotiva UPA5 (triggered), Wharfedale Pacific Evo 40s, CS, 10s, PC DX12 sub, Def Tech A60 Atmos tops, the internet and a Nvidia Shield. There's also a Wii, but we don't talk about that...
Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack cassette. Probably the very last cassette tape I will buy in my life. I'm going to dub it onto a TDK metal tape with the metal housing. I still have an unopened brick. I haven't copied anything on tape since the late 80's.
I bought 4 copies over the holidays to give out to my friends who are Bruce Lee fans. It was always going in and out stock at BB before Christmas. Awesome deal compared to what Amazon and other sites are charging for it.
Seems that everyone posting here is buying vinyl or cassettes? I sold off all of my LP's about 10 years ago.. after having gone for nearly 10 years before that without having a working turntable and cartridge . . .
By the time I sold all my albums I had already replaced many of them with CD's, and since that time I buy a few more every now and then.
The latest were four that I bought this week.. two replaced albums I once had, the other two were "new" (because I never owned them before).
Steppenwolf - Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf - At Your Birthday Party
The "new" ones:
Dire Straits - Love Over Gold
Dire Straits - On Every Street
I had previously bought both of those Steppenwolf LP's when they first came out. Listening to these CD's brings back at lot of memories. There's one track (was never a "hit") that for many many years I would "hear" bits of in my head (like when in the shower or something) but I could never "place" it.. I couldn't ever recall who or what it was, or remember enough of it to be able to try to search it out. Now I know... "It's Never Too Late" from At Your Birthday Party. Great Stuff!!! That little 3 second guitar wail right at about 2:50 had played a million times in my head while showering (it must have made a real impression when I was 15). Whatever happened to ORGANS in rock music?
The Dire Straits is ok I guess, maybe it will grow on me. But it's not near as good as the other four Dire Straits CD's that I already owned . . .
