Director: Steven Soderbergh Double Feature Free

Side Effects (2013)9/10 FREE on VUDU , DVD, Blu-ray

Side Effects, chilly and noirish. Side Effects screws around in its own thriller architecture, toying with a deceptive structure and clever bits of misdirection, and otherwise playing the audience like a fiddle. Side Effects virtually demands a three-word review: Just see it.

Contagion (2011) FREE on VUDU , DVD , Blu=ray

Here's a scare-the-crap-out-of-you medical thriller about a viral pandemic . Contagion is serious, precise, frightening, emotionally enveloping. Steven Soderbergh's Contagion is a serious all-star thriller.
Stars: Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne , Daria Strokous .

Nope. Just there to rent a movie on VHS or Laser Disc or DVD depending what timeline when the aforementioned media was available.

Also what I did do was rent music CDs usually about 3 at a time along with renting 1 movie and sometimes bought previously viewed movie DVDs to add to my collection.

Plus One (2019) - Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer direct. Maya Erskine, Jack Quaid, Beck Bennett, Rosalind Chao, Perrey Reeves and Ed Begley Jr.

Watched streaming last night...was released to theaters June 11, 2019. Independent production. A funny but predictable rom-com. Good chemistry between the leads. First co-starring role for Jack Quaid, son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. He will be one of the leads in The Boys premiering on Amazon Prime July 26, 2019.

Very good, entertaining movie. The visuals in a pitch black room with an OLED and HDR were outstanding.

I saw 'Men in Black: International' in theater. The critics are wrong MIB doesn't need Barry Sonnenfeld, this ain't your daddy's MIB. It's funny, well done, and also pokes fun at Bond films. Unlike Marvel films there are no post-credit scenes if you don't stick around for the credits. If you liked the first MIB's, this one is worth a shot.

Men in Black (1997) - Barry Sonnenfeld directs. Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Linda Fiorentino, Vincent D'Onofrio, Rip Torn and Tony Shalhoub.

What better time to watch? Still hilarious after all these years. Always impressed with D'Onofrio's portrayal of the bug alien and Rick Baker's alien creature designs. Jones should have gotten an award for keeping a straight face through much of the movie.

Meatballs (1979) - Ivan Reitman directs. Bill Murray.

Canadian comedy marking Reitman's third directing effort. An odd but charming, occasionally funny time capsule, not sure who the intended audience was. Bill Murray's first starring role and a warmup for Caddyshack and Stripes.

Angel-A

A movie by Luc Besson (Fifth Element) Fantasy.
Very cool movie

André, a small-time ex-convict, owes money to a crime boss who promises to kill him if he doesn't repay him by midnight. After failing to find protection from the American embassy and the French police, a despairing André scrambles onto a bridge over the Seine, intending to leap to his death. He is surprised to see a tall, beautiful girl clinging to a rail on the same bridge, apparently preparing to end her life as well.

Toy Story 4 (2019) Cinema Showing 3D/2D

3D Blu-ray pre-orders: https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/page...8-0512711DFE16

Toy Story 4 is fun, gorgeous, and absolutely charming. It is extremely funny: I'd argue it's the most consistently comedic of the entire series . For a film franchise that began nearly 25 years ago, this classic in the making couldn't go out on a more fitting note of tender resolution. Definitely stay and watch the end credit as the film has important resolution to the Story that are shown !!!

Starman (1984) - John Carpenter directs. Jeff Bridges, Karen Allen, Charles Martin Smith and Richard Jaeckel.

Still fun to revisit. Carpenter and the cinematographer must have had a thing for Karen Allen who has never looked prettier and mature. Bridges was nominated for the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role. It was announced in 2016 that a remake was in the works.
