If you haven't seen Arnold pranking in the video towards the bottom of the piece, it is worth a watch, Funny!

Nice!

Roger Lococco 06-23-2018 05:56 AM

If I had any desire to see this movie, that feeling was completely eradicated by seeing these set pics, this movie looks awful.

Dude111 06-24-2018 04:59 PM

Na, but I think she looks (a little bet) better here than she did in her appearance on Syfy's, "Defiance"......:o

8mile13 06-25-2018 06:03 AM

It is actually pro woman to bring her back. Bringing back all these 60+ male action heroes is ok. Bringing back one 60+ female action heroine is not ok

Roger Lococco 06-25-2018 06:42 AM

Jamie Lee Curtis is 59, but still looks great and will be a believable ass kicker in the new Halloween movie, Linda looks very old and frail and in danger of fracturing her hip even in a slight breeze. I think 99% of older male action stars just embarrass themselves by continuing to make movies, they should just retire. Some people haved commented that Mackenzie Davis looks like Dlyann Roof or a transgender person.

Fredrik 06-25-2018 06:52 AM

So older people can't be tough as nails?

As long as the action is not out of character it should be no problem.
Most likely they are not as agile as before, if they then suddenly pulls off some advanced parkour moves then it just become rediculous.
So as long as the action is plausible it should be ok.

I think Linda Hamilton looks pretty bad ass in the posted shots.

Just depends on how much plastic surgery aging stars want to go thru. You know Arnold has had a lot.

KBMAN 06-25-2018 01:35 PM

Wow Linda got O L D. Crazy, unnatural OLD. Too bad, as I had worshiped her a bit in the 80ies. All people age differently, and perhaps someone will say the same about me (when I’m 95) However It still boggles my mind how good Sigourney Weaver looks ...

I liked Genisys. I suspect I'll like this. I don't care about older women (or men) in action movies as long as they cast them believably from a physical standpoint (think Helen Mirren in Red).

Jawaburger 06-26-2018 07:32 AM

This is supposed to be a direct sequel to T2, they are ignoring 3, 4 and 5 for this new movie, so Sarah Connor never died in this movie's timeline.

4891ttt 06-26-2018 10:26 AM

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/27/m...r-genisys.html

"One of Mr. Schwarzenegger’s earliest reviews came from James Cameron, the original “Terminator” director, who pronounced “Genisys” the true sequel to 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” — thus dismissing the two poorly received follow-ups in between, one featuring Mr. Schwarzenegger and one not."

Might just be an ego thing with Cameron directing 1, 2 and the new one . Huge ego:rolleyes:

Are they ignoring the two unmade sequels to Terminator Salvation as well? I remember McG saying he wanted to do a trilogy, not that I wanted to see two more of his terminator movies.

Cameron is producing the new movie but Tim Miller is directing.

I assume they are ignoring everything that Cameron didn't work on.

Josh Z 06-26-2018 01:43 PM

One of the benefits of being a franchise about time travel is that you can say that the events of any particular entry take place in an alternate timeline. That worked well enough for two seasons of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I think his involvement is the main reason why this movie will see the light of day though. He was not involved in the other ones. The new movie is Terminator 6:)

That's because she was in hypersleep for many years.

Seems to be a trend. The screenwriters for Jurassic World were told to write a direct sequel to Jurassic Park, ignoring JP2 and JP3. Maybe someone will do that for Man of Steel (ignoring BvS & JL).

Waboman 05-23-2019 07:59 AM

They're back.

That really annoying voice and $#it cover of that song doesn't help this generic looking terminator movie and trailer.

I have to agree, nothing in the trailer makes this a must see movie. I loved the first two as a kid and even enjoyed the 3rd but this looks similar to Halloween (2108) but replace old Jamie Lee Curtis with old Linda Hamilton.
