Both of these feel like proper Star Wars, not a version of SW designed by a committee to appeal to modern audiences with no attention span or patience.

Rogue One is easily the best of the new SW films.

I'm far more excited about the Clone Wars continuation and to some extent the Mandalorian on TV , than this ruined trilogy. RIP Skywalker saga.

Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)

Tickets went live ~8PM est. was able to pick up for Thursday night and Sunday before the big rush.

I tried using the apps but they showed not live/sold out. Websites however worked lovely.

Emperor’s throne in The Rise of Skywalker was first shown in 1981 drawing

The sinister stone throne revealed in the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer was actually first conceived a long, long time ago...the seat that sits amid branches of a claw-like outcropping was originally sketched by legendary Star Wars artist Ralph McQuarrie in 1981...the sketch was an early design for the throne eventually shown in Return of the Jedi...

The mouse is not worried about money, trust me. More busy planning the endless merchandising, video games (too bad EA has an exclusive, they suck) etc.
I read this and laughed, no way it would be more entertaining. I was wrong, you are correct.

So after watching The Mandalorian, I couldn't care less about Rey, Kylo, Finn Poe etc - dumb boring forgettable useless characters with no relevance to SW.

Finally we have proper SW again even if its on tv. Don't give a damn about ROS now.

After the Episode 8, I think all of us are pretty much there...

I’m not a Star Wars fan, but I’ve seen all of the first 6 films, with Revenge of the Sith being my favorite. I caught The Force Awakens on tv a couple weeks ago and The Last Jedi on a long flight the other day (had no interest in buying or renting the discs), and for as much guff as the 3 prequels got, they were infinitely better than these last 2.

Disney needs to think long and hard before they make new Star Wars movies. As mentioned, I’m not a fan, but even I feel betrayed in how Luke and Solo were handled. Spend your money on this last film and you are sending a clear message to Disney that anything they put out is ok.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ don’t tell anyone, but I’m a SW fan and liked the new ones (TLJ less than TFA however). Already have tickets for two different showings opening week.
