Cast will include Carrie Fisher

"Disney has announced the cast for the next chapter from the galaxy far, far away -- and it will include the late Carrie Fisher.
Fisher will reprise her role as Princess Leia Organa, using "previously unreleased footage shot for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,'" director J.J. Abrams announced Friday."
etc.

After the crawl, the cameras pans downward, Luke awakens from a terrible dream. He goes to the Force Tree and communes with Yoda. "Know what to do, you do." Yoda says. Luke cliff dives after the lightsaber and raises his X-Wing. He then wakes Rey and Chewie and they jump on the Falcon and head to meet the Rebels. Just as Rose catches Finn trying to desert the Rebels, Luke arrives. Luke's plan is to turn Finn back into the First Order as a ruse to get on the ship and raise hell. On the way his ship gets hit and Finn dies, Luke crashes and carries on. Everything after this is fine....

Hopefully not :-) Personally, I don't see the problems with The Last Jedi. I mean I'm not a huge fan per se of any of the Star Wars stories, since they are for a younger audience than me and I prefer more serious sci-fi. But, as Star Wars movies go, I liked The Last Jedi fine, ignoring some silliness like Leia suddenly doing Star Wars on Ice there at one point. Honestly, I've liked most of the more recent ones best, though I understand the historical significance of IV. Personally I think that Rogue One is far and away the best of the series.

I just hope we don't end up with them just basically trying things and then just ignoring them in subsequent movies and going on like they didn't happen. The whole thing is a day dream of Luke back on Tatooine after he fell asleep while working on those damn evaporators, but now he finally gets to live his dream of being a bar dancer in Mos Eisley.

Rogue One and Solo are the best of the new ones for sure.

JJ shared the first BTS photo on Twitter showing they are shooting on the same cameras as episodes 7&8: Panavision Panaflex Millenium XL2 35mm anamorphic. Hopefully they will also do some scenes on IMAX film too.

One thing, however small, I will say was indisputably cool in "The Last Jedi" are some of those images of Kylo and Luke at the end. Some of those were just gorgeous, epic images that would have made amazing paintings just by themselves.

I really loved the art direction for the Crait scenes, the red caverns, the crystal foxes (even though I usually hate CGI critters I thought they were cool) and the old rickety speeders.

Having mixed feelings about them using TFA outtakes for Carrie Fisher in Episode IX, sounds like it will be tough to pull off in a convincing manner.

On that note i hope we see the 4K UHD release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
and Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
around the home release date of this film.

I used to think TESB was the best of the SW flicks but...
- IMO it hasn't held up well; and
- VII and VIII came along and were well-made and enjoyable.

If IX continues the trend, it'll be a solid wrap-up to the ennealogy.

Still have TESB at the top of my SWs list - along with the first .5hr of ROTJ
.......where Princess L is gloriously adorned in her "Slave-Girl" outfit

I think, therefore I am single.

Kylo Ren is such a lame bad guy. I'm still a sucker for the SW universe. Yes, even after that last one. Was good seeing Billy D as Lando back. And the Emperors laugh at the end after Luke says no one's really ever gone has my interest piqued.

The Emperor at the end did pique my interest a bit. I just hope they give poor Mark some meat after the last one. I don't want him to steal the show, but give him/Luke some decent screen time. I keep a small bit of hope alive because the Luke "projection" was able to block light and the dice he hands Leia have substance.

At least this teaser has me somewhat interested. Kudos to them for that.

Looks promising. Hopefully J.J. can fix Rian Johnson's missteps without appearing too contrived.

I will still go and see it but that last one killed it for me. They really should of shelved the second one and did a reboot. Im hoping this one really saves it.

Yeah, not even a Vegemite sandwich can cleanse the sour taste left by the last movie.

I was a die hard Star Wars fan util The Force Awakens and the Last Jedi happened, they were big flaming TURDS!! Then Solo and Rogue One come out and got me interested again. I am pretty confident that episode 9 is going to be another flaming TURD. George Lucas should be ashamed of himself for selling off Lucas Films to Disney and letting Star Wars go down in flames. JJ Abrams need to stick to his other movies and leave stars wars alone because he just does not get it. Lets not even talk about what Disney did to the Marvel movies.
