I love this so much. Spider-man in the MCU has been pretty much pitch perfect so far.

Just saw the trailer for this, starts out what you would expect with Peter Parker going to Europe..And then Nick Fury shows up and it's we're in the MCU for sure. Count me in to see this one.

This film allegedly puts a close on "Phase 3" of the MCU, but I wonder what that means exactly. A crop of new faces? Assuming the Avengers get closed out, would that also mean no more Spidey movies? Anyway, this definitely looks interesting so I'm sure I'll see it; hope it's better than Homecoming, though. I mean, it wasn't rotten, just that I hated seeing the longtime "face" of Marvel Comics reduced to a character nearly completely dependent on Tony Stark.

While Sony didn't do the best job with the franchise, Spiderman was at least more iconic there. Here's to hoping. I guess as long as these films keep topping the box office, Disney will keep on making 'em. And I'll probably keep watching...

Trailer 2 makes it more interesting. Do not watch it if you haven't seen Avengers Endgame though.

This looks like it will be a fun ride. For me, that's what makes MCU so entertaining, and why I rewatch those movies more than just about anything else in my collection.

I saw this in Dolby Cinema today. It has two great sequences for really nice HDR color and highlights. And the Atmos mix has a lot of height and surround activity throughout, probably one of the best I've heard in awhile.

I enjoyed this just as much, if not more than Homecoming. I have to say that the thing this current iteration of Spider-Man films nails, especially in comparison to the Amazing ones, is the villains. Comics readers should know who I'm talking about, but I'll remain spoiler free. The villain here is perfectly integrated and born out of the current MCU. It's clever and satisfying, even if you know its coming; kind of like knowing how a magic trick works, yet still being amazed at its execution. The stakes here are much smaller than Endgame, but works for the characters. And there's some great character work all around, not just Peter and the villain. Highly recommended.

There are two credits sequences. The mid-credits scene sets up the next Spider-Man film brilliantly. And the after-credits scene sets up the next overall Marvel phase.

The best Spider-Man ever ! And one of the better MCU movies too. Tom Holland really has the Spider-Man still in high school, not quite sure of himself thing down. Something you don't get in trailers, the movie is actually funny in a lot of parts. Trust your Spidey sense and see this.

Just saw this on an UltraDLX screen with Atmos. Really fun movie. Starts with the pedal to the metal and doesn't let off. Holland is the perfect Peter Parker/Web crawler. The two post credit scenes are crucial. Make sure you stay for them. Looking forward to more. Oh and I love Led Zeppelin.

I haven't thought the Holland stand alone Spiderman movies are all that good. They are amusing but follow the same beat for the most part. I do have to say that the post-credit scenes make up for a lot.

The best Spiderman movie (by far) is the animated Into the Spiderverse from last year. Not even close.

Dolby Cinema Sunday. Looked and sounded fantastic. Loved the movie, maybe more than Homecoming, but I'm a fanboy so don't trust me. Tom Holland is as close to perfect in this role as I can imagine anyone being. I really like Zendaya as MJ as well. To reiterate Kevin Smith's very good points, yes, this is a really good Summer blockbuster and a really good superhero movie, but it is also a great high school movie and captures that awkwardness and those emotions really well.

Jake Gyllenhaal is also quite good as Mysterio. He delivers on the characterization perfectly. I do not know the comics in-depth, but I knew enough not to trust him. However, the story is good enough that you can't nail down what's really happening until it's revealed, and I respect that.

Again, stealing from Mr. Smith, the mid-credit scene is great because it aligns perfectly with the character.
Spoiler!
