Box Office Mojo "Chapter 3" worldwide update, $182M. Budget was $55M. Lots more fuel in this and subsequent engines. Wick rules!

Watched it tonight - insane action scenes, one right after the other. The throwing knife scene in the antique shop/museum was my favorite, followed by the dog scene, followed by the montage of assassins after him in the beginning.

Im confused as to why Zero could have killed him multiple times in their fight, but doesnt out of respect, then John goes ahead and kills Zero the first chance he gets. He spares the two assassins just before that, but why not Zero? And i swore that was Gordon Liu, but it was actually the host from Iron Chef America.

Finally got around to seeing this last night, it's great. If you liked the first two, or any similar "gun-fu" type movies, you'll like this. Especially liked the
Spoiler!
- they gave him some new stuff to do which helps keep it fresh. Looking forward to #4 .

Mad Dog from The Raid made an appearance towards the end, love that guy.

My mum and dad went to see this yesterday....

Ill have to ask them what they thought..... (I havent seen any of them)

When you stop watching what they want you to watch you stop thinking what they want you to think.. Then you see a world that is nothing like they tell you it is.

I actually saw it with my mother in law. This isn't really her kind of movie but for some reason she liked the first two so when I said I was going to see it she asked to join me.

What was that library book?

Curious about the book that John Wick was reading at the NY Public Library?

After the first fight scene or so, this became repetitive and boring. The bad guys were trying too hard not to kill him. Always love Keanu getting hit by a car and shaking it off like nothing happened. Why even go see the doctor? Gunshot wounds, falling off buildings, nothing matters. Also, always finding time to reload in the middle of a fight.

The movie also felt like it was 30 minutes too long.

I won't go this far as to not recommend it, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. It was a bit "all over the place," and the violence felt like it was getting a bit cartoonish and, dare I say, excessive. I am not one for censorship, ever, but it felt a little cheap in some way. Also, the Iron Chef guy as the super villain that's also sometimes funny, didn't really work for me. Still, the movie is very pretty and sounded great. Nice, vibrant colors everywhere. Plus I could watch Ian McShane eat breakfast and be entertained so that was nice.

Mostly agree here. No issues with violence but it went deep. Like many films, keeping it small is best. The Purge 1 and 2 are prime examples and really great movies but then it had to get bigger...still going to watch though.

I'm an action fan going back to the 80s but by the end of the first JW it just felt way too repetitive for me. So you can imagine how I feel seeing basically the same movie for a 2nd and 3rd time.

Saw it few days ago. Eventhought the constant fighting and shooting can get tiresome for some it was a excellent ''kung fu'' movie AFAIK. Lots of variation like fighting while on a horse, motorcycle, in a glasshouse, Casablanca, New York etc.... And there is the NBA player fight in a library. All of that kept the movie interesting. Do not feel that way about the second one which i thought was mediocre.

Keanu Reeves update.

"Keanu Reeves, 55, goes public with first 'girlfriend' in DECADES as he holds hands and shares loving looks with artist Alexandra Grant, 46, at event"

Quote:
Keanu looked proud to be with the woman who has captured his heart as he hit the event on Saturday. The star beamed at her and held her hand as he walked past photographers and the press while heading into the museum.

Honestly I was not too impressed with John Wick when it first came out due to the dull and dark artwork. But now I'm hooked! I hope they keep releasing more!
