This may precede getting some of them released on UHD disc. Don't quote me on that though

They're all hitting UHD on June 4th with brand new Atmos mixes, followed by a 4-movie box in September.

Doesn't get more classic than this Batman.

I see they gave a hard date on April 3rd, it was rumored for awhile but Warner wasn't confirming a release date. Thanks

Looks like you guessed correctly in the first post that the theatrical releases are because of the upcoming UHD discs.

It's funny, I was just talking with my kid about the movie Shazam. Which led me to tell him about the 70's tv show where he was called Captain Marvel. Which in turn led me telling him about the 70's Spiderman tv show. Where 99% of the show was a mopey Peter Parker and for maybe 30 seconds at the very end you saw Spidey. It was so cheesy when he shot his web at a bad guy you could literally envision someone off camera throwing a net on him. Then we talked about the old Hulk tv show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno, which I actually liked. Still recall the haunting piano score. So lonely. And of course the old Captain America made for tv movies. The good old days, with 4 channels and us kids were the remote control for our parents. Good thing there were only a few channels and dad wasn't a channel surfer.😳

For years the animated Spiderman's were the only way to go. And if someone finds that old Doctor Strange movie please burn it. I get the feeling sometimes that if TV's didn't come with remote controls most of our parents could have lived without them. Meeting of H.R.A. "The 10 actors who played Batman: A superhero timeline"

Quote:
For a long time after starring in the 1966 Batman TV series, Adam West’s career foundered due to typecasting. People seemed to think the show’s purposefully campy atmosphere was actually down to “so bad it’s good” humor, making it hard for West to be taken seriously as an actor.

My favorite Batman is Adam West for his campy treatment of the hero.

My favorite Batman film is The Dark Knight, not so much for Christian Bale's Batman portrayal, but primarily for Heath Ledger's Joker.

I don't see Robert Pattinson enhancing the franchise.

"Robert Pattinson Is Officially ‘The Batman’"

Matt Reeves’ superhero tentpole hits theaters on June 25, 2021. Variety first reported on May 16 that Pattinson was in negotiations for the part. The studio confirmed on Friday that he had signed a deal. Pre-production on the Warner Bros.-DC Comics pic is expected to start this summer. No official start date has been set for filming “The Batman.”

Pattinson has the jawline, which is pretty much all you see when the cowl is on.
