He does have a heckuva jawline. I imagine he's going to be spending significant time in the gym though.

Not a fan...a bit of a softy, ''doopy batman''. Nicholas Hoult is also on the short list rather see him do it.

Bah. Pattinson has already proved (except for teen angst stuff, ie Twilight) he cannot carry a movie. I was hoping for more old-man (Affleck) Bats. And DC has proven they don't have a clue to what they're doing (except maybe for animated Justice League and live-action Wonder Woman)...

Something in particular you're thinking of? I generally think he's a good actor who got trapped in a bad franchise there was nothing he could do with. I've heard a lot of good things about The Lost City of Z and Good Time.

That makes 2 of us, I actually enjoy hating on Affleck but I warmed up to him taking in the role. Don't mind Pattinson but the constant merry go round of actors is tiresome. Batman,Spidey. I heard Jeff Bridges may do a few Thor movies starting 2022

Can't say I'm thrilled with the choice but I like it better than Affleck. Agree that changing actors and rebooting franchises so frequently is tiresome.

Remember Me and Water for Elephants. Both terrible performances. Elephants had a great ensemble; unfortunately, Pattinson wasn't one of them. Anything whimsical he can carry (Potter, Twilight), reality-based not so much.

Batman is easy, it's the Bruce Wayne part that that's tough. Keaton was a an eccentric Wayne but an excellent Batman, Affleck did an aging Silicon Valley type of Wayne which sort of worked. The best Wayne was Clooney he was

a traditional millionaire opposite of the Bat. He also would have fit in as Wayne in 'Gotham' down the line. The best balance between Batman and Wayne was Bale, once he became responsible as adult he brought a very real world type of Wayne. To keep doing Batman you need a younger actor, time passes, look at the amount of time that was covered in the Nolan series.
OR.... Just go with Lego Batman..he's awesome and never ages.

I remember all of the controversy and doubt when Tim Burton tagged Michael Keaton to play Batman...and that was before social media.

Had no idea what to expect of Keaton, whereas I've seen much of the body of Pattinson and not impressed at all. BTW, I loved Kilmer as Bats. Very underrated...
