Favorite Use of a (preexisting) Song in a Movie.

These are taken from another thread. Post your favorites. Songs written FOR a movie should be excluded. I'd imagine Tarantino should get a few on here.

It's got the greatest single use of Immigrant Song in a movie ever in what might be my favorites scene in any MCU movie (both pictured below). I mean, I am biased but definitely give it a watch.

"Wake Up" by Rage Against The Machine at the end of The Matrix was pretty good. Really finished off the movie with a bang.

The use of a Focus tune in Baby Driver, in which sound and vision is closer connected than usual, was done very well AFAIK.

A few that sprung to mind:

"God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" by Moby used at the end/credit sequence of Heat (1995)

"Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave in Collateral (2004)

"Shape of Things to Come" by Audioslave in Miami Vice (2006)

I'm noticing a trend here. I really like the music Mann picks for his movies.

"Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon in The Color of Money (1986)

"Sussudio" by Phil Collins in American Psycho (2000)

"Golden Brown" by The Stranglers in Snatch (2000)

"Hurdy Gurdy Man" by Donovan in Zodiac (2007)

"Where is My Mind" by The Pixies in Fight Club (1999)

I also liked the Blood Rave scene from Blade

Or Orbital from the Movie Hackers
Or Prodigy from the same movie

There are lots, but one that just popped immediately into my head was "Sweet Jane" by the Cowboy Junkies, used in "Natural Born Killers".

Oh, and two others, which strangely both involve Kristen Stewart:

1. "Don't Dream it's Over" which used in Adventureland
2. "Begin" by The Wailin Jennys, which is used in "The Cake Eaters", a woefully under-appreciated movie. The point at which that song comes in is so perfect, it brings me to tears every time.

Nina Simone's cover of "Sinnerman" picks up the ending of The Thomas Crown Affair (1999).

Old Man and a Gun, Redford's "last" movie. Exceptional use of Blues Run The Game.

"Dance the Night Away" by Van Halen in Ben Affleck's Argo (2012).

"Hands of Time" by Groove Armada in Michael Mann's Collateral (2004).

Several songs in Drive (2011) -- that movie is just dripping with style.
