Your Top Five Movies For 2019

Easy peasy, what are the top five movies you saw in 2019 from the year 2019? Simple lists are fine, you can explain your choices or not. Do you have six top movies? That's fine too.

I'll go first. My 2019 was rather slim. Not a lot really drew me or my kid to the theater this year. We did watch quite a bit on demand. These 5 occupied my mind the most.

1. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

2. Midsommar

3. Adopt A Highway

4. Missing Link

5. The Irishman

These are just the ones I have seen that I can list:

Alita Battle Angel
Avengers Endgame
John Wick 3
Captain Marvel
Fighting With My Family

Edit: Purely from an audio/video quality perspective, I have to add Hobbs and Shaw and Spider Man Far From Home. Both are reference quality discs...

Fighting With My Family we just watched a couple days ago. Highly recommend it. Kid loved it. Wife was like "ugh wrestling" then wound up liking it.

Doctor Sleep
Long Shot
Avengers: End Game
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Alita: Battle Angel

Noting it appears as though there are a LOT of good 2019 movies I have yet to see like The Irishman, The Lighthouse, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Knives Out, Joker, Ford v Ferrari, Marriage Story, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, etc...

So far I've watched only seven 2019 movies in 2019 and the best I can do is a Top 2:
- Yesterday
- Toy Story 4

Good golly oh molly. I don't remember what I've seen this year. Lol. I know we've been to the theater a few times this year, but I'll be hog tied if I can remember. Besides, Endgame, which really didn't do if for me. #GettingOldAndInTheWay

I am really wanting to see Ford v Ferrari. As a non sports person I decided this year to follow F1. I'm surrounded by SEC football types and it makes me want to die most days. F1 is super interesting from a technical perspective for me but the personalities and history are nice respite from the mainstream chatter.

I’m really looking forward to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Missed it in the theaters. Ford vs Ferrari looks really good too.

Alita
Joker
Ford v Ferrari

I would've put Ad Astra on the list, but it had several head-scratcher/dumb moments.

Can I have the new Star Wars movie as one of mine? Lol. Got tickets for one of the first showings.

Other films - Captain Marvel, Avengers Endgame, The Vanishing (we're regular visitors to where it was filmed in Scotland!), Marriage Story and Joker.

Parasite, Joker, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ford v Ferrari.

Parasite is a cut above because it's certainly original and not what you think.

If you like The Beatles then yes. It's basically a rom com alternate history type of thing.
