Over the past few days WSHM-LD has made the switch from ch21 to ch20, leaving 21 open for WFXQ, should it ever make it back on the air. In the meantime I'm getting a solid signal on ch21 from WEDW Bridgeport tonight up here near the CT/MA line.

And I have just noticed on 9/24 that WHTX, previously on ch43, is now transmitting on ch24 with no subchannels.

That's pretty much how WHTX has aired since making the jump to digital, only now the feed is in HD, rather than widescreen SD.

Hopefully, Entravision will consider adding some subchannels at some point now that they've moved to the new signal. After all, the Springfield DMA is basically a diginet dead zone. Not counting stuff coming in from other areas like Hartford, Albany, or Boston, the only diginets available in the area are Ion, Cozi, and Escape (soon to become Court TV Mystery), the latter of which isn't even on cable in any way (though Spectrum at least carries H&I despite no local broadcaster carrying it; same with Dish and a few of the other diginets).

ION is a subchannel in Springfield? Is anybody picking up WHPX-TV (ION) channel 26 of New London, CT? They now transmit from Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington, CT.

Yeah, Ion started airing on WWLP's third subchannel in 2013.

Also, I've been able to get WHPX consistently for about a week. I will say, it's nice to finally get Ion in HD over the air after about a decade of WHPX being almost entirely unavailable up here. Also, the presence of Qubo is a welcome addition since it's the only kids' diginet besides PBS, even if most of the shows kinda suck (it's a loss leader for FCC regulation purposes, so they can't afford anything good).

WCAX-TV channel 3-3 of Burlington, VT. It's on a subchannel like with Springfield/Holyoke, MA.

In Hartford/New Haven, WHPX-TV channel 26 of New London, CT moved their transmitter from Montville up to Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington. That's at least a 50 mile shift.

In Burlington/Plattsburgh, WNNE-TV channel 31 changed their city of license from Hartford, VT (White River Junction area) to Montpelier, VT. Their network changed from NBC to CW. They're also now a subchannel of WPTZ-TV (NBC) channel 5 of Plattsburgh, NY. Their old transmitter was on Mount Ascutney in Windsor County, VT. It's now transmitting from Mount Mansfield in Stowe, VT.

Yes, I know. I already said it was a subchannel. The WNNE switch happened a while ago, we now have a "new" channel in the Champlain Valley.

Oh Joy!
My right thumb can get more exercise by pressing the channel up and down buttons to skip over yet another Court TV sub-channel. 40-3 now has it too. I also see Court TV programs on WFSB 3-2, and WCCT 20-2. They must make some pretty favorable deals with the broadcasters to have them appear in so many spots.

3-2 is Court TV Mystery, a separate channel confusingly-branded.

I was wondering if WGGB was ever gonna add another subchannel. Actually, I though it was gonna be something like Circle or Bounce, but honestly, this works too. I watch Court TV from time to time when I don't feel like having TCM in the background (which is really rare, but still), so it's nice that we finally have an affiliate in the Pioneer Valley (and displayed properly too, not that weird stretch-o-vision crap WWLP's Court TV Mystery feed pulls). I've mostly relied on either the internet or WCCT to get it until now.

I was pointed to this link in another thread. LX, a millennial news network, is coming to the Springfield area on May 31, via WDMR.

My comic, Life in Longfield, is available to read on Webtoon Canvas.

WDMR-TV transmits from Provin Mountain in Agawam. Is the station actually connected with WVIT-TV in Connecticut?

WDMR-LD is a Low Power station owned by NBC and carries simulcasts of Telemundo CT, Telexitos and now the new NBC LX network.

Back in 2018, they were sold to NBC with the other ZGS owned Telemundo stations like WRDM-CD in Hartford making them sister stations with WVIT. After the purchase they essentially merged the operations with Boston's Telemundo O&O WNEU to create "Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra" with local CT and Western MA reporters stationed at WVIT's studios.
