3.1 ABC
3.2 CBS
3.3 CW
6.1 NBC
6.2 Bounce
6.3 Escape
6.4 Laff
24.1 CW
24.2 MeTV

26.1 FOX
26.2 this
26.3 GRIT
26.4 ion
39.1 PBS
39.2 PBS Kids
39.3 PBS
39.4 PBS
49.1 WQDH-LD
49.2 WQDH-LD
49.3 WQHD-LD
49.4 WQHD-LD

So....I guess I still have my original questions....1. can anyone confirm they can still get Antenna TV in this area (and if so, what channel?), and 2. what else might I get here if I jumped from a cheap antenna on the downstairs wall to a higher end antenna in the attic?
I live in Wilmington also and you have the same channel lineup as me. Yes, I get Antenna TV. Antenna TV is in the 29 block of channels. If you're not getting it on your inside antenna, you're gonna need an outdoor antenna. I have a Clearstream Max 2 and it does a pretty good job. I get same as you plus channels, 10.1 thru 10.3, 29.1 thru 29.4. I also get 35.1 thru 35.6 when that station is on the air. I don't know whats up with that station as its on sometimes then its not. Can anyone comment on this? I can get 12.1 thru 12.4 sometimes. That station is in New Bern. I may install a second outdoor antenna and aim it toward New Bern to get them channels. Anyway, some smart people here that can help you out as they know a lot about this stuff.

And if you do put up an outdoor antenna, definitely try it in different positions. I have found that if I turn mine just a few inches it can make a difference. I have it now where I can get everything (except them New Bern stations) with pretty good reception. It took many times turning it and rescanning to find the sweet spot.

Looks like Court TV Mystery will replace Escape channel. That's 6.3 for those in Wilmington. Its on the air now. I searched for a schedule of shows but didn't find one. My program guide still has Escape listed. I hope they show Forensic Files. That's one of my favs.

CourtTV Mystery is the Escape channel. Escape just rebranded. I haven't seen anything explicit about programming changes. I think most of it will remain the same. https://www.broadcastingcable.com/ne...urt-tv-mystery

I live in Wilmington and channels 29.1 thru 29.4 have vanished. Anyone else notice this? Ive rescanned several times. Also, WWAY TV 3 doesn't and never has since I switched to OTA TV, come in as good as WECT TV 6. This happen to others on here? Ive been OTA for about a year now.

WWAY used to be close to the strongest signal I received years back, but now, it is weaker than WSFX. I think they have issues for sure, since they are using Christmas lights to keep their transmitter on.

WWAY must have got their act together. Full signal strength since I switched to OTA. That's been about a year.

All the channels seem to be stronger from the main tower in Winnabow. Maybe they got the combiner ironed out?

For anyone looking for more channels from the New Bern area, you might try the STIRR app. You can stream the channels there, and they look better than OTA. There are about 25 or 30 channels.

I did a rescan yesterday and WILM has added channel 15.3 in the Wilmington area. They were showing Heros and Icons. Anyone else see this?

Speaking of wilm channel 10, on real 15, I am in Ocean Isle Beach, and their signal is just getting clobbered for the past few weeks and is very dependent on the weather.

I understand that there are a couple of channels up near Raleigh that use 15 / used 15 that are the culprits for my problem, and with the orientation for those Raleigh channels related to where I am, The direction from my house to the broadcast antenna to raleigh 15, and local 15 are practically the same.

I can't get WILT as it is too far away/signal not oriented correctly.

Any others have any ideas how I can improve, or how WILM can improve it?

I do like the H and I channel, but don't care much for the 2 Me TV channels that wilm does.

Regards!

WRAZ in Raleigh is also on RF15. Capitol Broadcasting (owner of both WILM and WRAZ/WRAL) told the FCC that they would accept the interference with both stations on RF15. The issue is WILM only broadcasts at 15,000 watts whereas WRAZ is at 700,000 watts (with a construction permit to go up to 805,000 watts). WILM cant go any higher power as they are classified as a low powered station (so 15,000 watts max).

I'm not near there so I cant suggest how to improve your reception since we're dealing with co-channel ionterference. Hopefully someone local can help out.

Can you post your rabbitears plot? (more up to date version than tvfool)

Here is the link for the tvfool equivalent: ( I am sure glad someone took over the reigns for this. I didn't realize that rabbitears had this available! )

I don't think capitol broadcasting cares so much for WILM anymore since they lost cbs down here. Also, their 10.1 channel that now does mostly Me TV in 'HD' except for their news, and a few new shows a day...

It would be better in my opinion if they moved the H and I station to their 720 10.1 channel.

Thanks for the info.

There is a construction permit on an LP 15 down in Georgetown also. Columbia SC has a 15, but I doubt that is an issue. For people in the areas in and around Bladen County, or even southern Sampson, I cannot imagine they can watch either FOX 50 or MeTV from either station. They would likely need WSFX or WITN, or WFXB

Is it just blank or did something replace it like a slide?

Yesterday, (when I wanted to watch that channel) they had a slide up. It said something like "This TV has ceased airing in Wilmington, Visit http://thistv.com for answers."

WSFX DT2 Wilmington NC

I went to the site, but I saw nothing that provided any information.
