The Panthers game also on WBTV so no problem there. But sometimes WBTV and WSPA carry different NFL games, as well as WHNS and WJZY. But that big issue has already been discussed here. But hopefully the booster will help.

WBTV and WSPA have different games about every week. WHNS and WJZY are mostly the same because of the Panthers, but some weeks they are split as well. I've been trying to get WHNS consistently, but have had no luck.

In York County you should be able to receive WSPA with a good VHF antenna and preamp. WHNS may be more of a challenge. Be sure the antenna is rotated towards Spartanburg, Hogback Mountain.

LP station W28DB, broadcasting from Channel 28 on Paris Mountain in Greenville County, is scheduled to move to its new frequency sometime Tuesday. Remember to rescan.

UNC-TV and Carolina Christian Broadcasting have an agreement to accept interference between those stations on RF16.
From the contour maps, it looks like W28DB-D will be harder to pick up in NC which is a shame if you wanted those stations. The repack hasn't been good for many low power translators; they've had to go to directional antennas or reduce power.

The only station I can get from Paris Mnt. Is WGGS 16 and I get it better since they changed channels. It’s only 23 miles from me. I used to get WSOC 9.9 in Shelby and it was 40 miles away. Some things just make no sense.

For reasons unknown for now, it appears W28DB (Channel 28) has moved to real channel 15/virtual channel 31 as of shortly after noon today. That's contrary to what is listed on RabbitEars.info. I haven't seen a top-of-the-hour station ID yet to confirm that this isn't W31AZ Channel 31 from Hendersonville.

WSOC-9.9 from Shelby has been off the air since September when WYFF-4 moved its full power signal to RF30. WSOC-CR is supposed to move to VHF channel 12, but the exact time frame is unknown. But it may be more difficult to receive a low power VHF translator at a fringe distance since they are no longer on UHF. But I now get the main 9.1 signal better since the repack, so the translator is no longer a major concern, although I would still like to receive it if possible. Do you now get the main WSOC 9.1 from Charlotte? Their new signal on RF19 is stronger than the old RF34.

Need to rescan and check tomorrow.
I rescan this morning and Channel 28 has moved to Channel 15, although the PSIP is labeled Channel 31. Good signal.

@LMckin do you now get the new Channel 31? Good signal for the Decades.

Supposedly 36-WCNC is now top mounted with the new antenna and full power. But the new antenna remains a directional pattern that still has a null to the west. However, I still can receive it strong with a 4bay UHF antenna and preamp, but for indoor antennas it is much weaker than WBTV and WJZY from the same location. Their temporary antenna on 24 was actually stronger to the west than the current permanent antenna. I wish they had returned to an omnidirectional antenna like their old analog 36 antenna, but they chose to concentrate their signal more toward the east of Charlotte. WBTV-3 has an omnidirectional pattern, and WJZY-46 is apparently only a bit directional toward Columbia. And apparently WJZY is not yet full power due to a technical problem, but I still get a strong signal in northwestern Spartanburg County. The 4bay and 8bay antennas seem to get stronger signals for 9 and 18.

I tried several scans this morning (wed) using two different antennas. There's something on channel 15. The box I'm using pauses and searches and shows 5% power but doesn't lock onto it. Not really too surprising for northern Oconee.

The station ID at the top of the hour is W31EJ-D, so the programming that was on 28 is now on 31 (physical 15).

enjoying having Decades back on in this area after 8 months since WCNC 36 drop it

I would Like to see if WGGS Channel 28 Low power station ever get online on channel 16 have it carry same programs as WGGS main channels since not too many people can get the channel 16 VHF Low unless they add a Big Out door antenna and they be able get it on that channel
