Don't think you are going to see much, Trip

https://www.wdbj7.com/content/news/W...565092722.html

Beginning December 5, engineering crews will work on the hard line wiring, and hope to begin testing the week of December 9, in hopes of being good to go soon after. At first we won’t be at full power on the new antenna, but we’ll gradually increase the power as we make sure things are going well. We expect whatever power we go to will be much better than what we’ve been doing with our auxillary antenna.

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- WDBJ's digital channel lineup is changing slightly as of January 1, 2020.

WDBJ7 will stay put at 7.1 Heroes and Icons, currently 7.2, will move to 7.3, and WZBJ (MyTV) will stay at 24.1.

Two networks will debut. The Circle country music network, a product of WDBJ7 parent company Gray Television, will be on 7.2. Lifestyle network DABL will be seen on 24.4.

Cozi-TV, with its selection of classic TV shows, will be seen on 24.2, with Decades-TV, also with classic program episodes, on 24.3. Both will be seen only in the greater Lynchburg area, broadcasting from our low-power transmitter at Candler's Mountain.

This all begins at 4 a.m. New Year's Day.
Well that's got'a affect the PQ...

I have to agree. Over the last several years I haven't noticed any artifacts or macro blocking while watching the primary channels. I don't watch any of the diginets so I can't comment on them. Still the most important consideration in this discussion is how large is your screen and how close to it are you sitting.

I agree. We have a new 82" BUT we're sitting back 14 feet. If I get halfway between the seating and TV, you can see how lousy the PQ is on ALL the channels...

Why is WDBJ worried about sub-channels when they still can't get their full-power CBS signal straight? Talk about rearranging the deck chairs. OTA viewers should be their most important concern, because we have fewer choices, making it more likely that we would choose to watch their programming AND COMMERCIALS. Do their advertisers know that there is a significant number of homes that cannot see the commercials they are paying for? WDBJ used to be the standard in this market, but current ownership has not maintained the level of excellence this station had built over the years.

WDBJ new antenna is on the air at 85% power. I am in Franklin county and it is now the strongest signal I receive.

WDBJ remains dark for me since the scan. I'm in Salem near Lewis Gale Hospital and have always been able to receive channel 7. Very disappointing.

After the scan I kept all channels and added Fox27 which I'd never been able to pull in before.

Try this:

Disconnect your antenna, do a rescan. Should find no channels

Reconnect the antenna and rescan again.

I'll try the disconnect and rescan because it'll be easy for me. But since the main coax splits to my TV/Channel Master STB and I'm now getting the same results on both tuners, I don't have much hope. I will remove the split and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion.
