T-Band does not exist in Nashville. It's only in 11 much larger markets.

Very strange happenings with 58-4 after rescan, I lost it on both a TCL and Samsung TV. Signal locks for 58-1 -2 and -3. Rescanning does not fix problem. No issue watching 58-4 on a different TCL of which I have not performed a rescan.

Just to let you know, WZTV FOX 17 and WNAB CW 58 are still operating at low power. On the other hand, WJFB 44 is operating closer to full power than it was, but still is not full power yet.

Yea my 17 is back out. You know I follow a kid on youtube called "antenna man" he is an installer from Pennsylvania. He is knowledgeable and made a text post on youtube saying alot of these lost channels are from 5G interferences. Something to think about. All these moves being made to new transmitters/towers are not for nothing they are for 5G to take new positions also. We are paying attention to TV channel transmitter news while this 5G may have just as much effect and we dont really know whats going on there. Anybody know much about this subject?? 2 months ago I had 55 channels & was waiting for metv. Last 2 weeks Im down to 26 channels. Patiently waiting hoping for best

The second part of this sentence makes the first part incorrect.

I watch him on YouTube, also. He actually said 5G only affects channels above 37, which is correct. There’s only one in Nashville, WLLC 42. I have seen the interference on it.

Sent a message to fox 17 about loosing the signal the day after thanksgiving. About midnight someone responded. Without going into detail they just said the "repair" was fixed and try a rescan. I did it and it appears fixed. I have a perfect signal. Hope it holds up lol.

WKRP was the original call letters for WRTN. I don’t know if they’re changing it back.

Don't know what they're doing over at 44. They obviously increased the power because the signal strength made a big jump for me a week or so ago and the picture became rock-solid. But then a day or two ago, the signal strength dipped, the SNR wavers all over the place and the picture breaks up a lot. Hopefully they get their act together soon and can transmit at full power in their final configuration.

Received another email from fox 17 they plan to be on their new permanent transmitter in the next "2 weeks" ................We are working off an interim transmitter due to the new FCC regulations and waiting on the company responsible for the transmitters to come out and provide our new one/install. We are hoping within the next two weeks this should be completed.

By Christmas?

I guess that means by Christmas because 14 days would put it at December 23. At this point, you might as well say by the end of the month. So who is currently running at temporary status? 17, 58, and that's it? I hate that 58 had to go temporary in mid-October. I had to miss the rest of Dr. Gangrene's show on there. There's always Svengoolie on MeTV and Lamia on Retro, but he's pretty good as well.

Just received an e-mail from METV:

Nashville Viewers,
Thank you for contacting MeTV. We have an important update on receiving MeTV through an antenna for our over-the-air viewers.

Our affiliate WJFB 44.1 has recently completed upgrades to their signal that may mean you can now better receive MeTV. If you do not receive this channel currently, you may need to do a rescan on your TV to have the upgraded signal be available to you.
If you have any trouble, please Contact Us on metv.com

We thank you for your patience as we continue to work with our local affiliates to bring MeTV to you.

After numerous scans, still not close to getting 44, at all. Before the changeover I did.

Can someone explain how frost / freezing temps affects signal? Let me explain. The other night may be a week ago i had during daytime 26 channels. The next morning 6 am ran a scan had 51 channels. Then the rain / wind/ clouds moved in & i was down to 16 channels for 3 days, to the point i thought my balun was full of water.

This morning woke up to another full frost & ran a scan to find 49 channels including mississippi memphis Huntsville etc. Both times this happened we had frozen frost.as the sun warms the ground & the frost is disappearing so are my far out channels

The following is a December 20 reported email response quote from an a contact person over at WJFB, aka channel 44 in Lebanon regarding the status of their upgrades that I've copied from another person at a Nashville TV website: ".. there will be some additional minor power increases happening over the next several weeks but it will not increase dramatically."

Personally, I lost channel 44 from my home just north of Cookeville, not on the Repack date, but about one month before that, which was the day in September when MeTv moved there after being kicked off of WKRN 2.2. I just got them back a couple weeks ago when it was reported that others started receiving it, and so I conducted another rescan. I've had the channel ever since with about 95% without any pixelating. I've got 44 about at the same strength as I had before that September day when MeTv moved there, which is 2 out of 5 bars, so even slight power increases in the next few weeks should help my reliability. It has been reported that they are authorized to operate at just under 100K watts; but they are not saying where they are currently power wise or what their final output will be; only that the expected increases will not be dramatic.

As for channel 40 (RF-28) with duplicate programming, I've only been tuned in on that station after a rescan in the middle of a clear night; they are in Whitehouse and low power, and so probably only viable for those close by.

If you live in Nashville Metro or areas south or west, I'd guess it's going to take a better performing antenna or a rotator or a different aim if you can't get them by the end of January. For me, 44 is the same basic direction as the other far off stations from my home that I'm trying to receive. They are 56 miles away and the other high power stations are from 70-84 miles, so it's odd that they are showing up weak considering their distance and power and direction. According to rabbitears, they are 264 magnetic from my home. All the Nashville broadcast towers are from 263-275 from my home. I don't currently have VHF capability. I'm currently getting all but WZTV and WNAB, WSMV, and WNPT, so my aim should be good for 44, as I'm getting WKRN which is about the same direction. Channel 44 transmitting antenna height may have a bearing on their performance versus Nashville broadcasts, and also, it would helpful if they would tell us exactly what power they are at now; and how much higher they'll be going, so we know whether to take action or not or to give up! It is noteworthy that I was never able to get WNAB, so it will be interesting to see what happens when they and WZTV come back up full power with my current set up and aim. WNPX actually went down in power permanently, but I'm still getting them with 2 bars.

I don't know if my experience has a bearing on 58.4 Dabl, but even though I can't get WNAB-58, I do get the CW affiliate for the Knoxville area 20 which broadcasts from a Crossville tower 35 miles east of me with my antenna pointed west.

CW-20 out of Crossville also shows Dabl on 20.4 guide information on my tuner, but it comes up with only a test pattern and a message saying that exciting new programming is coming. The other subchannels work but not Dabl. It was this way for me on 20 even when you guys were watching Dabl on 58.4, so I don't know if the problems are related. Just thought I'd throw it out there that 58.4 is not the only channel where Dabl is not showing up.
