I think WILM already changed channels to 15. They were on 40. WRAZ will cause interference at times it looks like after they turn on 15. Tutt stations will change to 32 in Jacksonville, and 26 in New Bern.

WITN is running rescan ads for Sept 6. All Greenville market stations schedule for Sept 6 except WNCT and WCTI. They not set till next year.

Stations only care about their designated market area by Nielsen. It didn't used to be that way on most stations until after the digital changeover. If a station covers their DMA to their satisfaction, they will not even expand their reach by raising power to cover a few more miles, even though they could reach some people in other market counties with a strong signal.

I also wanted to share about a drive up to Greenville recently. All along the way but especially on 258, I saw a lot of older combo antennas that were for all bands, and I saw a lot of those cheap Amazon specials that rotate. I also saw some antennas Direct clearstreams. One I saw on Highway 11 close to the tower. Kind of overkill I think there. All but a few I did see were turned the wrong way! Most were pointing westward.

This is not the wrong way, lol. They're probably watching Raleigh stations. Mine's also installed westward for the same reason.

I just changed my old channel master bay antenna out for a antennas direct Clearstream 4 max. Also put a LTE filter on it. Signal is more stable with this new set up. Waiting to see how it does once the repack is done.

Symptoms of the tuner being "overdriven". Too much antenna or signal strength will do that. Many people put up large directional antennas with powerful amps and wonder why they can't pick up a thing, or see a lot of dropouts...

We aren't supposed to do that anymore. You are only supposed to watch the stations on your side of the line. I think someone told stations to stick to their markets, because nobody dares cross into enemy territory. WNCT is the only one who seems to do it like the old days. WITN kind of does too. I have started watching WITN more. I like most of their personalities.

I like Matt Engelbrecht and Phillip Williams. If I have to watch one of the local stations, I pick WITN.

I avoid WCTI because they’re owned by Sinclair and I avoid WNCT because they look like they belong in market 250.

I like Charlie, Jim and Phillip, (not in that order). I don't dislike WCTI because of Sinclair... I do watch their news some, but it's not like 7 or 9 to me. It's almost like they are in a different market. I don't like Nexstar or Gray, but I still watch the stations since we don't have a lot of choice anymore. I don't like Capitol, and a lot of people I know that live in their areas don't watch or listen to them. I don't like the blue graphics that WNCT has, or a lot of their wx graphics, but they have some good people and enjoy watching them.

I don't like the idea of these companies owning so many stations, and not much variety, but it has been allowed to happen, so we are stuck with it so it appears.

WCTI has the best anchor team in the market. Wes and Valentina are great and are the longest-running team in the market now. But on principle I just can’t bring myself to watch a Sinclair station. I watched WCTI over the other two before the buyout.

Speaking of WCTI, an old weekend met of theirs Dominic Brown is now chief met at WIS/Columbia, SC. He’s really gotten good at his on-air presentation.

Anyone notice a change in signal levels on both 9 and 12? I was only getting 1 or 2 bars, now I get 4 and 5 bars. I have done nothing on my end... The only station as strong as these is WUNM 19 for me.

Interesting this happens as the dispute with AT&T is ending...

My signal levels were also very low early this morning. Atmospheric I guess. Everything seems to be back to normal tonight.

Was really odd that mine would come in stronger in the afternoon. I checked over my connections today, and everything is good. Normally, VHF does not change like UHF does for me during atmospheric events.

If anyone is looking for a good UHF antenna, Ollies in Jacksonville has the original DB4 from antennas direct. They had 5 or 6 of them.

I saw some the old design DB8 antennas at Ollie's for $50 down in Gastonia, NC. It's not obvious it's an 8 bay unless you read the side of the box.

Maybe someone could make 2 DB4 antennas out of one DB8, not 100% sure though.

Now I may have to go back and see if that was a DB8... Not a bad price, but still not as good as a Winegard 8800's gain. It could be modified by putting a continuous screen on the back I bet to give it a boost.

Yeah, the DB8 box is tiny compared to a box for a CM4228HD due to the full width reflector of the CM.

Say goodbye to Movies! and hello to DABL very soon.

I also just read where WUNM, and WYDO will not make the phase 5 deadline, and will attempt to hold off until phase 10 when WCTI is scheduled to change to channel 10

I saw a guy on You Tube talking about how stations were having problems meeting the deadlines since there is a shortage transmitters as well as personal to install them since they are in such demand due to the transition

Anyone having problems with WTVD 11? Finally after a nearly a year got my rotator working. It had been pointing SW since Hurricane Florence, so when I finally swung it NW and re-scanned I got everything RDU,but WTVD 11. I've tried a couple times and played with positioning, but no luck. Never had problems before.

It must depend on where you are. I see WTVD maybe twice a year. They probably have switched to their AUX antenna as they are changing to channel 9.

I'm not sure what will happen with Movies! - Only going by what I saw on Rabbitears.info - Someone else may pick it up, or maybe 12.5 will show up?

Here in Greenville, I receive WTVD and the other Raleigh stations on a regular basis. Having said that, all channels, especially those repacking, have been fairly intermittent lately. WLFL I have only seen once or twice in the past few weeks. Besides the repack, I think the air mass over us hasn't been very kind to over the air signals.

I hope WTMH will save Movies! for us since it's already on their Wilmington station I think. *fingers crossed*
